Revocation - Fields of Predation (Guitar Cover)

- Me (featuring tummy curl), performing the track "Fields of Predation" by Revocation, from their album, "Empire of the Obscene".
Quite a fast and technical song, that I only recently sat down to learn all the way through. Initially I weren't going to do the solo, but after recording the first take, I decided it kinda needed it. So got that one down in an hour or so. Fast but not too complicated.
Trying out another profile on my Kemper for this one, then the previous two.
A great cover of a great song. It would be cool if you found the time to post tabs... Wishful thinking, I know.

Don't have one at hand, but simply google. I tend to learn a lot of tracks by ear, and then cross-reference with different tabs.

Yeah, that actually happened some years ago gradually. Looks like from my videos, back in 2015 actually. The old way I held it, was how I learned to play guitar. I've never really had any guitar teachers, so most of it was trial and error.
But as you can imagine, I then ran into some difficulties, with certain techniques, especially consistent pinch harmonics.
I can still play with the old way of holding it, and honestly, it almost feels like I have more control of the pick with fast lead parts that way.. Weird.

A bit mixed felling about it. A few tracks on it that I really like, and a lot that just doesn't feel too "Sylosis" to me. A bit too much on the new-wave metalcore like Architects for me. But better than no releases at all! Still a banger, but probably my least favorite album by them.
I did read an interview though, where Sylosis pretty much WAS done, and he started writting music that wasn't "chained" down, with having to sound like Sylosis. But coincidentally, the music that was then written, still sounded a bit like Sylosis, so it made more sense to release it under that name, than some new project.
So yeah, rather ANY Sylosis, than none :)
Might do a cover of either "I Sever" or "Calcified" as those tracks stuck most with me. Just need to setup my guitar for them, as they are in D-Standard, and my main electric guitars are with Floyd-rose tremolo's.
