Dam man. What is it with this show. From the start of the music to the whole voice and production of this. It’s just I don’t know how to say it but so dam magical. So nostalgic, so perfect. Or is that just me?

All of Art Bell’s shows had this effect. His voice, the topics, the bumper music, the guests. My dad used to play Art on AM radio at night when me and my brothers were kids and those were some of the best times of my life

To prove OBE's a trauma surgeon at a hospital placed numbers on top of the cabinets and other higher up surfaces in the operating rooms.
Then every time someone said they had an OBE he'd ask if there was anything unusual in the room. They knew the number and color of paper it was on.
Before he did that he thought people were subconsciously remembering things - like they'd say they heard him talking about the procedure and could repeat things he said while on the table. Now he's certain OBE's are 100% real. I can't think of his name but he's written books and he's done interviews

    Great show Art...miss ya buddy.
Would have been cool to call in to this show. Around 50-51 minutes in to the show, they mentioned talking with the dead in a dream. I had a dream I was talking with my dad on the phone, and realized at the end of the conversation he passed away, and asked him, told him you passed, and died...and the line went dead soon as I realized that and told him that, and woke up shortly after....I miss him dearly.
Some dreams, and like Art said...sure can impact a person, even if a stranger is sitting on your hand. Only dream I ever really became lucid in. Pretty good show too. It's cool catching up on his later shows when he came back. I was a big time 90's listener, and early 2000's.

I have lucid dreams EVERY NIGHT ! My father passed away twenty years ago next month, I'm 60 now. He and I were good friends, we worked together,( ag life, farming and ranching) played hard together as well as with my two brother. Many times per week I've had full on conversations with my Dad, knowing I'm asleep. It blows my mind. In my dreams, I have heightened senses. But the most odd thing is I also have been told by my wife, that I speak fluent Spanish out loud and has said that most times I'm asking questions, out loud , similar to a one sided conversation. My maternal Grandmother is at times in these dreams as well as both of my Grandfathers, we were all very close and all actively involved in the business(es).
My wife thinks its because I experienced a cerebral aneurysm at 14 while lifting weights in high school. I really don't know if there's a neuro- correlation. But recently while in the hospital recovering from spinal fusion with titanium cages and pedicle rods and screws, one of the nurses witnessed my " dream state of having a conversation out loud.

      Merry Christmas Rob,
I often truly and wholeheartedly believe,( in some form) that I am communicating with my deceased Dad. I know it sounds crazy but I think he guides" me. It also could be a one sided conversation.
I'd like to think that I'm in touch with my Dad's soul being, more than his shell, so to speak.
Season Greetings Rob and have a very Happy and Prosperous New Year !
      Big Time Regards from Arizona.

    • @wmluna381
      @wmluna381 5 місяців тому

That is wild, thank you for sharing!
Are you, by chance, naturally fluent in Spanish IRL?
Also, it would be interesting to know exactly what area of the brain was affected by your aneurysm? Did your doctor(s) give any indication at the time?
I've only had 2 lucid dreams (early last year) and I was actively trying to make them happen. I have terrible sleep issues due to ADHD (come to find out as an adult a few years ago) so I consumed a ton of probiotics & cultured foods (since I am not taking meds and due to the gut/brain connection).
I mostly consumed homemade yogurt, kefir, kombucha, and extra OTC strains like L. Reuteri, Gasseri, and another one I forget. It didn't take long, like 2-3 weeks to help me get a better/longer sleep regimen. Plus, I put in the extra effort to lay down at a reasonable time, get things dark, and at times put in earbuds to play relaxation/meditation music. Within the 3-4 week period is when I had my 1st lucid dream.
The ones I had were awesome. I flew both times within them, but the second time I affected more decision-making control of my flight patterns which was super cool. I also kept asking the people I encountered within the 2nd one, "Who are you!? Why are you here?! What do you mean?!" No one answered me, but I was a bit shout-y about it. 😂
I recently got Albert Taylor's OBE book after hearing an interview with Art Bell and catching some other ones with him here on YT. I found him so personable and love his extensive background in science/physics. In one of the segments he said that if you've had lucid dreams, it's easier for you to have OBEs. Have you ever had one of these?
I got busy and dropped the cultured foods regimen, but am getting back into it again, starting with the kefir. I froze some grains and they easily reactivate. Anyway, really shooting for an OBE this year and am adding the Hemisync audio into the mix. We will see. 😊

Well another informative and enlightening session.
I frequently Lucid Dream, and also naturally fly in my dreams, plus I can travel to friends and check in on them they have even said they dreamed about me on nights I traveled to them, before I told them about what I had been up to in my sleep.
I often use a quick nap with the intention to dream about the a problem that is causing me difficulty.
Recently I found out that my Son was in deep trouble and he kept coming to me in my dreams. Crying for me to help him. Then I finally found out he was in big trouble and was trying to get home so I could help him.
Anyway I've always had super vivid dream's and also learned by experience that going to bed with intentions.
Stating those intentions 3 X verbally, 3 X as you visualize it and tap your head 3 X on the pillow.
Oh, and using Clary Sage mixture to spritz your clean excellent quality sheets, that will help your mind open up and left your dresms flow.
    Enjoy! Happy Sky Walking!

Another way to become lucid and test that you’re in a dream without waking yourself up is to lift your feet off the ground when you’re walking. It’s the most surprising thing because you keep moving forward slowly as if you’re walking but you’re levitating waiting for yourself to fall but you just glide along in mid air. And then it takes you two or three times to convince yourself that you’re not floating in real life so for a few moments you are thrilled and proud of yourself and your special ability to just glide along.

One person Ive heard speak on lucid dreaming mentioned realizing you were dreaming, and then being able to control where you went, and what you did .. When I was a child, I remember being able to choose what I wanted to dream about, and it would happen. However, I knew I was dreaming, and could go back the next night and continue the dream where I left off. Like reading a book

I used to be able to dream about whatever I wanted to dream. I haven't been able to since my parents passed a little over 10 years ago. I still lucid dream and remember them more often than not. Also , if I'm having a bad dream I will tell myself that I'm dreaming just wake up and I do. I really miss being able to control the subject matter though. I never dream of flying but jumping great distance instead. I can remember dreams from years ago in great detail. I wish I could decifer them. It would be great to know the meaning of them.

@@kevinmartin7354 I'm truly sorry for your loss. The pain of losing loved ones is deep. It doesn't " Get easier as time moves along". As many claim/say. I lost my Dad in August of 2014.. For a while I couldn't nor didn't dream about him. It's only recently that he appears in my dreams. Never talks, but is present. Usually I dream that either my sister, mom, or wife will remind him or ask him if he is aware that he no longer is part of life on Earth. Also, can't hear anything he is trying to say...
I could ramble on for a couple of hours about dreams, dreaming, and dreaming as a kid, and animal dreams..

I had a dream that I did not really like going through so I requested of myself a change and saw the dream changed into something less traumatic or at least less stupid and that one turned out to be a better dream. It's strange how the mind works and it's strange how supremely detailed a lot of my dreams were even though we're just flying by. Some dreams of mine can get particularly graphic and in such a way that really tried to illustrate a certain sense of decay but who knows what all that means other than that change occurs and change is hard.

Idk about that , I've had dreams I wouldn't wish on anyone even good ones , like falling in love large time passes having a wedding ,her telling me she was pregnant ,having a baby , then waking confused (which never happens to me at that degree) and then the depression I'll never see them again, depression because that time differential was large.

1:07:40 I had a similar experience once. I was dreaming about a girl knew but haven't seen in a while. in that dream something awful happened to her and I woke up.
because I was in a state of shock, kind of, I called her right away. turns out I was calling while she was driving, which is generally a bad thing, but because of my call, she looked to her right side (where her phone was) and spotted a car that she would have missed, if she kept on looking forward. she said if it would have not been for my call, they both would have crashed into each other.

I used to wake up around 11:40PM, fall back asleep and then awaken at 2:20AM, and then fall asleep again. I didnt think much about it until Bob Ballard found the Titanic and that was the time that it struck the iceberg and the time it finally sank beneath the surface. BTW, i think we could've kept it from sinking if everyone threw all the bed linen, tablecloths and curtains overboard, to get sucked in to the separated plates and jam the leak enough for the pumps to keep it afloat. Y'all shoulda listened to me 🙄

I can't speak for anyone else but precognitive dreams definitely have a difference. They have a hyper real feeling to them. Like a SpongeBob cutaway seen similar to Ren and stimpy where everything is super realistic. O b e dreams are usually harder to articulate and even if you slept 10 hours you feel like you haven't slept at all

What if you're not "connected" with the departed who shows up in your lucid dream, what is that all about? I recently had a visitation AKA lucid dream where I KNOW, I just know it was a visitation, the thing is she was my step dad's grandmother whom I hardly knew and last time I saw her, I was 16 yrs old and I am now in my 50's. I just saw her 3-4 times in my life and I hardly knew her. She recently showed up to me and said "everything will be okay". About a week later, my step dad developed Covid. He's okay now. I just think it was srange she presented herself to me. Any idea why?

Just to say , I've never dreamt (surely there should be a 'p' in that word...?) about @12:03 "the big things/events that are coming up in life" ; I once dreamt I was wetting the bed , only to wake up in a state of utter confusion to being ripped out of bed , scalded harshly ,and catapulted into the bathroom whilst having my pj-bottoms ripped off with some enthusiasm . Having been subjected to , and somewhat worse the wear for this experience , Mother realized the hot water bottle had leaked . Boy was she sorry* , talk about being spoiled rotten for the rest of the day - I was only 3 .
