The Nature of the Spiritual Journey (4:45)
Getting Free with Karma Yoga (9:55)
Formulas for Liberation (21:10)
“The elegance of karma yoga is, the very act you do to help another person is simultaneously the act you’re doing to work on yourself. Like, I am helping you now, at some level, but this act is my work on myself. Because the clearer I get, the better my help is for you. So I’m serving as an act to work on myself; I am working on myself as an act to better serve you. Can you see how the circle works? Can you see the elegance of that?” - Ram Dass

This is one of Ram Dass' best talks. So much love for this man. Thank you Ram Dass.
This is one of the best ever that's ever recorded in the history of history. thank you for this gift universe!! ❤
Perhaps the best Ram Dass talk I have ever heard. I love karma yoga!
I never needed schooling, just this. Love Ram Dass!
Best teacher 🥇
By get t get t t we de red F
Without schooling you'd never feel the urge to seek what is already there❤
[1:00:44] "If you're busy being somebody, you can't hear who other people think they are 'cause you're too busy trying to make them be who you need them to be to be who you think you are." Yeah that was very wise. :D
Sooo many layers - every time I listen (and have listened intently more than a dozen times now) I pick up more to run through my mind and play with in my life. Thank you Ram Dass for being here now with me.
Abundant gratitude for Ram Dass’ teachings, feeling liberated after listening to this teaching this morning ✨🙏🏼✨
Been with myself and Ram Dass for 40 odd yrs. Never forget self
And so it IS❤🙏🦋
Been waiting all day for this... Now I after a hard days work I can drift of to new ramdas🙏🙏🙏
Ram Ram 💜
Such a relief to no longer have to search for the link to skip the 20 minute rambling promotion intro. Thank you!
Hahaha I know whom.yiu are referring too I guess....
Have you considered practicing karma yoga?
Love raghu but sometimes he needs to get on with it lmao
🤣
I am thinking of a saying that is usually attributed to Buddhists…
“you should meditate for an hour a day, unless you don’t have time, then you should meditate for two hours”
thank you for taking the talking and all those long intros to an area where its more appropriate . I listen to these to hear ram Dass , shri ram
I love you Ram Dass❤
Karma Yoga is absolutely amazing when you’re a mom, highly recommend
Ram Dass lecture from the 90’s have a different taste. They bring me to tears. This one resonated so so deeply. Thank you Baba 🫂
Thank you🙏Such a blessing to be able to hear him.
Blessings to you Ram Dass... the felllow whom introduced my son to me ... 🙏🔥❤️🙌
it's so interesting and bless his heart, but those who know don't say... yet it's a blessing for us for him to discuss it... hopefully it just gets us all to breathe in the now...
0:18 that's when my third eye briefly opened seven hours after doing my first three-hour meditation class back in March of '18
life changing life affirming, true grace. Just this now. Namaste
The visualizer is quite clever and clean, kudos to whomever is behind that! :)
It's doing every act with impeccable intention, with everything that you do. Be kind, help others do your best and have impeccable intention.
Ram ram 🙏🌹🙏🌹🙏🌹🙏🌹
Beautiful🙏
Agree. Best lecture I’ve heard.
Our emotions are triggered when our desires are not met or satisfied. Intellectuals avoid social gatherings due to fear of being out of control. Meditation has its limitations; enlightenment is possible when our mind is awake, its desire is to understand the causes of our emotions. Freedom from hate and anger is possible when we understand them.
BEAUTIFUL!!! 🙏🤍🙏
4:44 for NOTHING DASS…
The real hero ^^. Thank you!
My bliss. Thank you 😊 💓
LOVED THIS!!!
Thank you so much. Blessed
So good, thank you.
I’m gonna try this when I fold my laundry tonight after work
Better to start right now where you are with what you are doing!
I must be here for a reason, over the weekend I was in the hospital for a very bad thing that happened, prier to this one I've been in and out over the past few years, this year it has been different,I've died a few times each time was very different I died twice this past weekend, the one was so very very strange to me in the following ways; I seen the blackness on the sides with the white lite Infront of me while I was slowly drifting upwards I felt very comfortable at eas not worried,I came back to life a few minutes later. Died in the hospital came back seconds later and that one was ehhh. A day later I was seeking information about a therapist called one and nothing happened,I searched for Joseph Campbell listened to two videos, listened to Allan Watts 3 times then now I'm here. Been relaxing a bit more since while watching these videos not sure why but I don't wanna know at the same time. With this being said,on which kind of meaning would this be? spiritual, zen,wu wei, ying yang,or a calling of sort? Am I waking up inside,or maybe I'm tuning into myself way way deep within myself.
It is so interesting to me that Islam and karma yoga share the same principle. You do everything for God you do every act with that intention ànd you get rid of your karma but only if you have that intention... what happends is that you charge yourself with good karma and all these gifts start to appear in your life. I remember when I used to serve my in laws from a resentful place all day getting exhausted and not being apreciated .I was doing it out of fear for their judgement. Some years later when I just wanted to do the oposite of what my ego tells me, just do the opposite of what I wanted to do in order to serve God and eliberate myself. I would volunteer to serve them woth that intention. Yes my ego wanted to go read books. What happened was incredible. I was doing so little and I became so loved and apreciated by everyone i was shocked remembering how it was in the past. I was coming from a dofferent place. I no longer cared about results. What they say, their judgement etc. I was doing it to eliberate myself. For GOd alone., no idols involved. And crazy miracles were happening
This is my way
Getting😊comfortable actually ends😮 the beginning of suffering. He came to give US the Comforter, not the😢Sufferer. Choose😌wisely your heavenly path towards the ONE=mc2 in a vertical line upwards✨️!
The new intros the lesser intros are appreciated.
R efforts are appreciated.
The rambling intros, and hearing everything Ram Dass is going to share before he shared it was so boring.
Can someone please tell me what the instrument is that opens the introduction. And right at the end. It has always been something I really enjoyed and recently it deeply resonates with me and brings a very strong sense of nostalgia. Last year I started listening to ram dass, I would take my dog on walks and I'd listen to these. Always just me and her. I've heard that instrument so many times I can't even count. My dog passed away In may, I deeply miss her. It's been very difficult for me to listen to certain things because her absence. I know she was just a dog, but I'm sure ram dass touched her heart too. 🥲
I think it's a 'sitar' (could be wrong), you hear it in loads of 60/70's psychedelic music which was heavily influenced by the migration of many people to India, like Ram Dass himself. Such a great sound!
@@JR-tc4kq thank you so much friend 🖤🙏
It is the sarangi. Sitar follows patterns of individual strings plucked in the fashion of the guitar. The sarangi is more like the violin and cello.
The instrument is the disposed heart and the desire for wholeness is it's engine
It's not an instrument, it's some musical thingi
❤❤❤❤❤
The loud ad about killing Mosquitoes at the beginning really brings up aversion and pain ...
If you watch through Brave browser not youtube app it autoskips the ads.
Raghu, I hope you find another podcast to do intros, but DO NOT interfere with this one.
Absolutely
thanks
💜
💙💙
as I have been watching Ram Dass for a couple years ( and I'm 40 by the way) now I just wonder: Is it all right to be completelly obliviuos of all this stuff? I would say yes...

If only these were in black screen and in one part ie complete instead of 3 parts also without intro or ending fundraiser pitch
🙏🏼💜❤️💜🙏🏼
This is dope!
I've noticed that when Ram Dass would refer to sacred books or religions, he would never talk about the Quoran/Koran and Islam, I'd be curious to know why?
Coz there is nothing to talk about quran, Buddhist, sanatan, Christian make sense. Although might be Muhammad ( peace upon him) had good intentions most things in quaran in exaggerate and dont make sense it just suffering for yourself and others
4:49 to skip past introduction
☺️💙🙏
🙏🏽🙏💜
Is the second part available on Utube? I can’t seem to find it.
Baba Ram🤍
👍
Damn
Starts at 4:50
See now a four and a half minute intro is reasonable.
Where’s Raghu?
I enjoy your hosting as well! Just missing Raghu. Thank you Love Serve remember for continuing to spread loving awareness ❤️
There is a social media influencer in India named Dev G. He is unbelievably annoying. UA-cam was showing his advertisements very frequently so people started buying UA-cam premium just to avoid listening his voice.
Every time I hear the absolutely unnecessary introduction to actual Ram Dass talks, it reminds me of him. But now that I have understood Ram Dass enough, I don't get annoyed, I take the initial jibber jabber as if Maharaj-ji has come in a drag and testing my patience !
Far out , isn't it !!
4:45
Why isn’t Raghu doing the intro anymore?
Raghu is the 🐐
Going through some older videos I notice a lot of unnecessary hate in the comments from some people who don’t like just skipping to the ram dass segment. I hope their words didn’t get to him, I’ve really enjoyed some of the extra context Raghu has added to these talks. Especially after having already listened to most of them before.
I always enjoyed listening to Raghu, in preparation of launching into listening to Ram Dass
@@bernadettebockis4120 I’ve always loved Raghu’s introductions. Just like I love you, ram ram ram
@@wallardb
Ok, you too.
Where is Raghu is he okay?
Yes, I believe he was asked to no longer narrate the intros.
Thank goodness he no longer narrate the intros.

UA-cam: I watched part of ONE video about Ram Dass. This does not mean I’m a devotee
Cmon, we all know you are not jackie debrinska, you are god.
54:59 ok now it rains in hell!
Wrong. It's about selfless service to others without thought of ourselves.
Should you not think of yourself at all?
@@slumpkiid3570 That all depends on what you truly want.
@woodstockg346 how do you reconcile wanting two totally disparate things? For example, desiring everything yet also desiring nothing
@@slumpkiid3570 Interesting question. There both desires . I for some reason, find it hard to imagine a conscious singularity, thinking.
Idk bro, you can't pour from an empty teapot. To be able to care for others you must care for yourself or there won't be anything to offer.
