The Nature of the Spiritual Journey (4:45)
Getting Free with Karma Yoga (9:55)
    Formulas for Liberation (21:10)
“The elegance of karma yoga is, the very act you do to help another person is simultaneously the act you’re doing to work on yourself. Like, I am helping you now, at some level, but this act is my work on myself. Because the clearer I get, the better my help is for you. So I’m serving as an act to work on myself; I am working on myself as an act to better serve you. Can you see how the circle works? Can you see the elegance of that?” - Ram Dass

Our emotions are triggered when our desires are not met or satisfied. Intellectuals avoid social gatherings due to fear of being out of control. Meditation has its limitations; enlightenment is possible when our mind is awake, its desire is to understand the causes of our emotions. Freedom from hate and anger is possible when we understand them.

I must be here for a reason, over the weekend I was in the hospital for a very bad thing that happened, prier to this one I've been in and out over the past few years, this year it has been different,I've died a few times each time was very different I died twice this past weekend, the one was so very very strange to me in the following ways; I seen the blackness on the sides with the white lite Infront of me while I was slowly drifting upwards I felt very comfortable at eas not worried,I came back to life a few minutes later. Died in the hospital came back seconds later and that one was ehhh. A day later I was seeking information about a therapist called one and nothing happened,I searched for Joseph Campbell listened to two videos, listened to Allan Watts 3 times then now I'm here. Been relaxing a bit more since while watching these videos not sure why but I don't wanna know at the same time. With this being said,on which kind of meaning would this be? spiritual, zen,wu wei, ying yang,or a calling of sort? Am I waking up inside,or maybe I'm tuning into myself way way deep within myself.

It is so interesting to me that Islam and karma yoga share the same principle. You do everything for God you do every act with that intention ànd you get rid of your karma but only if you have that intention... what happends is that you charge yourself with good karma and all these gifts start to appear in your life. I remember when I used to serve my in laws from a resentful place all day getting exhausted and not being apreciated .I was doing it out of fear for their judgement. Some years later when I just wanted to do the oposite of what my ego tells me, just do the opposite of what I wanted to do in order to serve God and eliberate myself. I would volunteer to serve them woth that intention. Yes my ego wanted to go read books. What happened was incredible. I was doing so little and I became so loved and apreciated by everyone i was shocked remembering how it was in the past. I was coming from a dofferent place. I no longer cared about results. What they say, their judgement etc. I was doing it to eliberate myself. For GOd alone., no idols involved. And crazy miracles were happening

Can someone please tell me what the instrument is that opens the introduction. And right at the end. It has always been something I really enjoyed and recently it deeply resonates with me and brings a very strong sense of nostalgia. Last year I started listening to ram dass, I would take my dog on walks and I'd listen to these. Always just me and her. I've heard that instrument so many times I can't even count. My dog passed away In may, I deeply miss her. It's been very difficult for me to listen to certain things because her absence. I know she was just a dog, but I'm sure ram dass touched her heart too. 🥲

I think it's a 'sitar' (could be wrong), you hear it in loads of 60/70's psychedelic music which was heavily influenced by the migration of many people to India, like Ram Dass himself. Such a great sound!

There is a social media influencer in India named Dev G. He is unbelievably annoying. UA-cam was showing his advertisements very frequently so people started buying UA-cam premium just to avoid listening his voice.
Every time I hear the absolutely unnecessary introduction to actual Ram Dass talks, it reminds me of him. But now that I have understood Ram Dass enough, I don't get annoyed, I take the initial jibber jabber as if Maharaj-ji has come in a drag and testing my patience !
