this is not mediocre at all, it's awesome, you can literally do a musical channel with all of these great soundtracks

I dunno if you use an R4 but, if so, you can transfer your save to desmume and thus record your music in optimal quality

thank you! Your covers were definitely an inspiration for some of the remixes.
If I recall correctly, CastleDepths was created specifically because I heard your take on it and wanted to make the Inside Bowser version.

I liked your version of the Finale too. Yours is much better lol

    *Personal Thoughts / Fun Facts:*

    ORIGINAL SONGS
_(thoughts on remixes/covers in the replies)_
    *Song of Dor:*
So this is the first song I created after my original DIY Records video, and I feel like I almost uploaded this and a few other songs, like Boss of Beat because I felt they were such an upgrade to any of the original songs in the video. This melody happened randomly when messing around with the music maker and it just stuck. I liked it so much I couldn't stop sneaking it into other songs, or basing entire other songs off of it.
The name Dor came along one day when walking home from school. I can't remember if school had already started or if I thought of it back in the spring and happened to remember it.
Dor is short for "Predator". I was thinking it could be some kind of predatory animal. I gave up on the idea, but I didn't know what to call the song, so I just included the name.
The general idea of the song, which I likely decided after I finished it, was that it would be the song of the final level/castle of a game. It's pretty simple and calm but I can still imagine the idea well.
    *Techno Kitty:*
With this song I think I was also just messing around. It started off good, and there are a few parts I like, but overall I don't think it was put together very well. It jumps around too much and doesn't have enough connectivity imo. I really like the part around track 13 though.
    *Not too Good:*
I honestly don't even remember making this song. As you can tell by the title, I didn't like the song. I find it really annoying and repetitive, and I probably shouldn't've even included this in the video, but it was on the shelf, so I did. You can also hear me breathing in this one for some reason.
    *Boss of Beat:*
This is the 2nd song I really started to like. The idea was to create a song using only instruments from the human category. I found a good beat, and then I just rolled with it. I really like it. The idea I came up for this one is that it would be a boss theme that plays when you fight the "Boss of Beat", which is one of Dor's minions. I have this image in my head of how the battle would play out, and how it would dynamically change and work with the music. The boss would be really challenging but a lot of fun.
    *Short&Simple:*
I don't really remember this song much as well, but the title explains it all. It's just a short, simple song. But I really like how it plays out. If I were to go back and mess with it, I'd probably change up the rhythm a bit and add some more stuff, but as it is, it's pretty good.
    *Doomsday Dor:*
Whoo boy, this song. One day when I was walking home from school, the idea for this song played out in my head. It was much MUCH more complicated, and a lot longer. it's a final boss theme for Dor. I had to work with WarioWare DIY's limitations when making this song, but if there weren't any limitations, the song would have so much more. I remember making this song and having to come up with an ending because I started to realize I didn't have enough room to put everything I wanted. If I ever get decent Music making software, I will definitely come back to remaster and finish this song.
    *Boss Intro:*
Yet another song I don't really like this much. The idea is fine, but I don't think it was executed too well, and it's pretty boring. This probably would play before any boss fights with Dor. Not sure about the Final boss, but yeah.
    *Danger Dooms:*
This is another one of my favorites. This is probably the best standard theme I made. I made this almost directly after I made CastleDepths. The background tracks for that song influenced me to make something similar, and the background track in this song is what I came up with. I never wanted this to be a Desert theme, but that's kind of what it ended up becoming. I was gonna name it Danger "Dunes", but that was before I warmed up to it being Desert music, so I made it Danger "Dooms". After getting it stuck in my head at school and stuff, and imagining various iterations of the melody with a sitar and stuff like that, the desert idea grew on me, and that's definitely what I see it as now.
If there were more tracks and I could make the song longer, I would probably flesh this out a bit more. Like repeating the beginning with some added flare before moving onto the ending, and I'd probably add more to the ending as well.
    *SewageShuffl:*
I'm a bit mixed on this one. I love the beat. I don't like the exaggerated guitar shredding near the beginning, but I was too lazy to change it. I don't think I decided it was a Sewer level theme until when I was naming it. But I feel like it kind of fits, so maybe a sewer dungeon wouldn't be too bad. This song also had to be cut short because I couldn't add anything else substantial without running out of space to end the song. You probably heard that melody of Song of Dor in there. Not so subtle in this one.
    *March on Dor:*
I made this song last week. I was just messing around, and I ended up with a song that sounds like it would play in something like a tank level. When deciding what to call it, I came to the conclusion that it could play in the level preceding the final castle of Dor. It could be a rough, tough level, with the music ramping up more and more as you get to the end. Then you'd enter the castle, and the more calm, simple Song of Dor would contrast the battle outside. The ending of this song drags a bit too long, and it ends with a fairly subtle, but not very good sounding, reference to Song of Dor.
    *I Miss You:*
Made the same day as March on Dor, I decided I wanted to make a sad song. This song is different from all the others, because it was fueled directly by my loneliness and boredom brought on by Summer vacation. The "I Miss You" part comes from the fact that my friend was quite busy that week and I didn't get to message her much. My boredom and Loneliness from the summer is honestly driving me mad, so I made a song to reflect that sadness and yearning to have fun. It's probably my favorite song of the bunch, even if it isn't that special or complicated. I was running out of space for the song, but I think I transitioned into an end for the song pretty niceley.
_Also, disregard the "Covers and Remixes" subtitle that pops up. I moved some slides around and I guess I forgot to move the subtitle over the black space before Grand Finale._

      COVERS / REMIXES
      *Grand Finale:*
The first cover/remix I made after my last WarioWare DIY Records showcase. It's pretty good in some parts, but pretty bad in others. Not to mention I ran out of space, so I couldn't make the ending as good as I wanted it to be. I actually edited it a bit before recording for this video. I added the violin echo near the end (it was originally the same human instrument with the same pitch and it was really off), and I added a single guitar note to make the transition near the beginning not as rough. Overall it's pretty good, but it's not great.
      *Wario Land 3:*
I bought Wario Land 3 as I waited for WarioWare Gold. I ended up playing a heckton of Wario Land 2 instead, but when I finally got to WL3, I loved it. I especially loved the soundtrack and decided to make a medley. I got tired near the end, so that's why the daytime map theme is used twice. The Boss theme was a ton of fun to make, but oh golly, Tidal Coast was really hard to do. The range of notes is too drastic to work with the limitations, but I tried my best to work around it... specifically by changing instruments and putting the entire song in the wrong key.
      *Mario-Party2:*
I love Mario Party 2's ost, so I decided to do the title theme. then I decided to do Western Land. Western Land is really the star of the show here, and I put a lot of effort into it. Bowser's theme was originally going to be in it, but I struggled to figure out the notes by ear, and I couldn't find it anywhere online. I was also gonna do a minigame theme or two, but decided to do In The Pipe instead, which is one of my favorite songs. It gets cut off, and I know a tiny bit of it is wrong and shouldn't have repeated, but I had to use sheet music for that song, and I am not used to that, so it was really hard and I got lazy.
      *SMB Overworld:*
The only reason I made this remix was because I was messing around and I ended up figuring out how to make this song work in a different key. The official remix of this song in 9-volt's records has to do some weird tricks to mix the song up to fit the limitations, but I found I wouldn't have to do that if I used the different key. It was originally all the same instrument, but I hated how repetitive it was SO much, that I changed each portion to have more instruments, and added a proper ending.
      *CastleDepths:*
One day I just sat down and did this. I decided to be extremely faithful and did a lot of research. It's kind of a mix between the Outside and inside versions of the song, but I tried to follow Inside Bowser more closely, and I took the remix from BISDX as inspiration too. Aside from a few notes being wrong due to limitations, it's pretty good.
      *Mario RPG:*
This medley started WAY back alongside Grand Finale. It was originally going to be a Geno medley. Starting with the intro to "Let's Play! ~ Geno", and then moving into "Beware the Forest's Mushrooms!" and ending with "Goodbye Geno!", but I struggled with Goodbye Geno a lot, and couldn't find the notes for the song online. After a ton of trial and error, I turned it into a normal Mario RPG medley. I spruced up the Forest Maze part, added the boss theme, and the Mushroom Kingdom theme, and finally... i actually figured out Goodbye Geno. I don't know how, but after all those months I actually figured it out and could finish the song for good. I ran out of space, so that's why the ending is so weird.
      *BowsJr.Glory:*
After playing Bowser Jr's Journey, I found that I kept getting "Bowser Jr's Glory" (both the normal and music box versions) stuck in my head, so I decided to see if I could figure out the song by ear. And well... I did! I based it entirely off the Music Box version, but the tempo is a lot faster, and there is some unique rhythm and instrument choices.

I made all of these over the course of 10 months. Some of the covers took about an hour or 2, while other covers took me months as I struggled to figure out how to end it or how a certain part goes.
Original songs usually took me an hour or 2 on average.

@@DaNintendude These songs are really good even if they are made on WarioWare. I especially like The Mario RPG medley because it has the same speed for all the different songs and Castke Depths is so well replicated it almost has the same sounds.
