I totally agree with you. It has everything you need. Roof rails to add additional storage for the occasional big trip otherwise it’s a perfect all round car.
Does the car stereo sound good? I am curious how music sounds in each trim. I know manufacturers neglect providing a good audio system to save money. I hope Kia gives us nice audio.
@@yunkiride If you ask ten Americans their opinion about something, you will get 12 different answers. Most don't know the difference. But you could sell LFP as "safer and almost fireproof" and get one set of customers, and "high performance low nickel NMC" to others. I prefer cheaper even if I lose a little range, and I need a battery that charges and performs well in low temperatures (New York). A moot point anyway because we won't see the EV3 for many years. The oil industry will see to that.
@jamesvandamme7786 thanks for your answer, 10 people with 12 answer..🤣 And I found this news! Kia continues testing its new electric vehicle, the EV3, for the North American market as it was captured by our colleagues at KindelMedia. It is expected to be released at the beginning of 2025 and to be produced at Kia’s Mexico Plant.
Finally, the Air Trim!!! Thank You!! I already bought the car, just waiting to arrive to Portugal... 2 months to go Altough it seems the european version of the AIR/DRIVE will be different... i think for example wil be no eletric driver seat or heat/ventilated seats. Someone asked about the ambient light, you said that will not be in the AIR/DRIVE version but in Europe wiil have "Mood Light", what is that?
I haven't been able to confirm details about the European version of the AIR model yet. I will look for information about the Mood Light and let you know. In Korea, ambient lighting is only available in the Earth and GT Line trims. Congratulations on your purchase.
GR8 review! This is the model I’m looking for. 17” wheels. Heat pump (standard in Sweden). Less glossy exterior. Standard armrest compartment. Digital key. Wireless charging cell phones. V2G. Like textiles more than plastic seats (standard in Sweden). Manual cargo door 👍 Will miss V2L. Don’t like these rear lights, a true bummer. Any known pricing for towing bar? Is heat pump standard in Korea?

@@yunkiride Oh that's sad. I don't understand this, why do only Chinese manufacturers use LFP? LFP is cheaper, more secure (no thermal runaway), better for the environment, has much more load cylces. The use of NMC batteries is one of the main reasons why I still didn't buy an electric car in Germany. And most chinese cars as well as Tesla have bad usabilty, because way too many things have to be done on the touch-screen instead of real physical buttons. I hoped for Kia or Hyundai, they still offer many buttons for most things, but sadly (like most European manufacturers) still use NMC for no reason.
@@_-Lea_- In fact, when considering technology and usability in winter, NMC batteries are more advanced. However, it seems that density (battery size) and efficiency are most important to manufacturers, which might explain their preference. Hyundai and Kia still retain physical buttons for some functions like air conditioning controls, but there is a growing trend towards touch interfaces. I also dislike touch controls! While LFP batteries tend to be relatively safe, I don't fully trust the quality of those made by Chinese companies. I feel that Korean-made NMC batteries, which are under better regulatory supervision, are actually safer.
@@yunkiride Due to climate change, real winters got very rare in most parts of Germany. Most times temperature stays above 0°C, and having the car parked in a garage and in 99% of all cases also charged there, I see no real disadvantage of LFP batteries in my case - only advantages. And in those rare cases where it's really cold battery heating will fix it. The safety-problem I see with NMC is in case of crashes, I trust the companies that it's safe enough "under normal circumstances", but when the battery gets damages during a crash or maybe even just by driving a little "off-road" street with rocks, the risk of thermal runaway that gets out of control very fast is much higher for NMC. See the "nail penetration tests" comparing both chemistries. And regarding the energy density, LFP should be enough for the base model of the EV3, and NMC only needed to get the maximum range. Same for the Hyundai Inster I also considered.
Despite the EV3 Harmon Kardon System having just 8 speakers in comparison to the Ev6 Meridians 14, does it still have the possibilty of an artificial engine sound? Does the Harmon Kardon sound system have surround capabilty? I would surprised as it just has 8 in built speakers !?
The artificial engine sound feature is somewhat weak. Although it's branded as Harman Kardon, it actually feels more like a budget Harman Kardon system, not exceptionally good.
Wow! First time I have seen the Air Trim - it looks very good value indeed. Thank you for the video!
thanks for your reply, next week I'm going to test drive this EV3 Air trim! it is comes with lots of features even it is base!
Thanks for covering the Air trim. Just what i need.👍
Next review I'll coming with test driving!
Should I get snow white or snow white pearl?
Love this quite different approach to this ev. Thank you for this information on this great car..
Thanks for watching! I am planning to test drive the air trim!
Hi, I've enjoyed your video. Do you know if this car version can turn on the ambient light in the dash board?
No ambient light on air trim!
Appreciate review of the base Air model. It is my top choice when I get an EV. Hope it comes to US as expected in 2026.
I bet it will be there around 2025. Next video is test driving with air trim!

I appreciate your comment!
If they built this in the USA the streets would be full of them. There's no competition in this segment.
Does American prefer LFP battery or NMC battery?

Hi, what about basic sound system? Any information about that?
Good question. I'm curious about both the basic and high end sound systems. Nobody has covered either sound system yet.
I'll do that, comparing with fully loaded! Stay tuned!

Is heat pump standard in Korea?
It is around $600 , and heat pump is base option!
I hope the recent fashion for big rims and LED lighting, which we think makes a car stylish, will end.
Guess the interior ambient led strip (door - dashboard - door) isn't available on the base models?
yes the ambient lights doesn't comes with air trim
God damn the heat pump is only on the highest end model, that's insane.
No EV3 base also comes with heat pump

You need to change steering wheel 🐱🐱
Incorrect, the UK gets all three trim levels and all the options are available too.
Do you know if the UK-version also has the charging-port on the right, or will it be on the left side?
I've checked UK KIA web, but they only showed air and gt lines, now it changed?
Can you confirm that the base-model has a LFP-battery? I did not find any official information about the battery-chemistry.
It comes with NMC even it is base model.

Well that typical once again as KIA is praising the sound system as exceptional over here in Germany...
I prefer smaller wheels
19 inch is too much for eco focused car
