Maomao was so badass, the line where she says “They tried to trade life for beauty and lost both” sticks with me till now, it’s from the first ep but it really showed in the ep with how that lady in waiting kept using that powder, talk bout brainrot honestly. I can’t wait for your next reaction :,) One more week ehe
Ladies in Waiting are deeply focused on their Lady’s competition for Emperor attention through seductive beauty. Everyone is a bit skeptical regarding medical advice just like the courtesans who took powder even when told it was deadly. Think about women today who starve to get thin and wear high heel shoes. Lihua’s Ladies in Waiting are deeply committed to their mistress and this loyalty is essential for Concubines/Consorts to survive.
Las flores en el opening y en la obra suelen simbolizar a la mujeres, como está en el palacio, está rodeada de flores hermosas y variadas. Claro que no en todo los casos las flores representa a las mujeres en esta obra

I was calling that, "The slap heard 'round the world." But only privately. I wouldn't want it to get confused with a certain other slap.

Probably lead white, since it was historically used as a white pigment for paint, makeup, etc.

いくら小さくアニメをワイプしても、さすがにここまで音と、映像はっきり映すと著作権侵害になりませんかね?

I follow a strict set of rules to make sure I don’t show too much. I also don’t speak as much as others so that helps too. 😅
