- Rob Dyrdek is one of the most well-known pro skaters, entrepreneurs, and media figures of all time. He essentially owned the MTV lineup for years with hit shows such as "Rob & Big," "Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory," and "Ridiculousness." At first glance, Rob may look like a phenomenal skater who turned his passion into something profitable. But behind the half pipes is an almost unbelievable amount of discipline, wisdom, and time optimization that only a select few know about.
Rob, like many entrepreneurs, ditched school early on when he realized that his talents were best used elsewhere. He left high school at sixteen, went on to compete in the highest level of skateboarding, and started his first company at seventeen. He was bringing in millions of dollars a year at an age where money is almost incomprehensible. Rob was fueled by creation, starting dozens of businesses that were doing millions in revenue but weren’t making a financial difference in his life. So, he took a high-level view of what was worth keeping and cut out everything but that.
From then on Rob began investing down two major avenues-businesses and real estate. Most people who follow Rob know about the former, but very few know about the latter. Now, Rob’s on the show to help us celebrate the 700th episode of the "BiggerPockets Real Estate Podcast" and show us how we too can make millions of dollars by tracking every minute of our day as intelligently as possible.

The part where Rob D says " the basement flooded and 8 dead rats came up to the surface and said what now were in the dead rat game " had me laughing so hard i fucked up my weld at work.
I work / weld third shift in a shipyard during the week and bartend on the weekends . I just bought my first 4 plex a year and a half ago and am now saving up for my second property. I just wanted to say thank you to bigger pockets for everything. That start at the end advice is golden.

This is the best interview I have watched in the last (insert years) if you are interested in personal wealth or life goals.
Rob literally gives you the blueprints for creating millions - free of charge - with the utmost humble passion I have ever heard. This might be the most humble interview I’ve ever watched from a person who has created hundreds of millions in wealth/business revenue.
He even tells you the books he used lol.
I can’t say enough. Talk about going from average to upper 1% and the dude tells you how to do it - discipline and structure - then he gives you relevant examples…not as a billionaire lol, but as a normal person.
Subsequently, he gives about the best lay persons take on our current economy that I’ve ever heard.
David - huge shutout to you and your team for putting this together. I’m literally in awe right now. I knew Rob was the real deal from past interviews but not to this extent.
For real, wow. Do yourself a favor and watch/listen from start to finish. First ever UA-cam video I’m about to replay and take notes - “just remember things” isn’t gonna cut it for me with this one.
And sorry, I’m just blown away. I didn’t mean to sound like his spokesperson. I just can’t believe the knowledge this dude dropped on an hour.
If you want to test my theory on the knowledge he dropped - go watch between 1:05:00 and 1:10:00 at the end at the 1:09:00 point…you’ll see Rob talking and when he’s done the camera transitions to David and his facial expression says it all…it’s like he can’t believe how Rob has explained everything.

I used to skate in the late 1990s early 2000s. I skated at least 3 hours a day every day. Skateboarding taught me to take chances and not give up. It could take me failing hundreds of times before I learned a trick

I didn't know this side of Rob. I never would have guessed he was an entrepreneur. I thought of him as a celebrity and a flash in the pan. Someone here and gone in 10 to 15 years. I was wrong. This guy is smart and other celebrities should model him. I'm very impressed. I didn't watch Rob and big, but I did watch ridiculousness. I didn't know much else. I did enjoy his show though. Congrats on your success. Your a good model in the public eye. Something we don't have much of.

I’m sorry but regardless of wealth, or maybe due to it, Rob seems tone deaf to reality, as soon as he said the stimulus and printing of money “needed to be done” he lost me and showed me he had no idea about who and what was behind these last few years and the huge impacts it had and will have for years on many, if not forever. How about what “needed to be done” was to not shut down the economy over a flu, lockdowns and business closures have been proven to have not “curbed” anything and only caused catastrophic damage to millions.. and everyone still got sick, 99.9% mildly. Those in charge knew exactly what they were doing from the beginning.
