    the fish with the white bottom was a sole. starry flounder have a black and white edge

    You probably fish bigger fish right? I just caught my first striped bass yesterday, it was the best feeling ever.

    Nice day. Cant wait to go out. Fyi, that is a red irish lord, not a cabezon. Very similar though.

    where do you lunch your kayak? how deep is the water and is there much current? if I don't have a anchor line, will it be drifting far?

      I launched it at Gig Harbor, WA. The water that i fished is anyway from 30 to 90 feet deep. Current is not bad but can be fast between tides. If you don't use anchor you will be drifting with wind or current quit far.
