I was extremely sick during the Avengers: Endgame release. By the time I was able to go out, our local theatre was in the end of the run. Unintentionally, I was the only person in the theatre for that particular showing. I must say, it was odd. I sat in my normal spot but halfway through the 3 hour movie, I got up and tried other spots, since I could. I even flipped three seats down and made myself a couch. I don't know if I'll ever have that experience again, but it was really kind of cool.

Awesome! For my 40th Bday Party my wife rented out a theater at our local Alamo Drafthouse and screened BttF. It was an historic occasion. “I’ll never forget it.”
My daughter and I watched a movie once in Lancaster PA in a theater all by ourselves in comfy leather laziboy chairs. It was like we had our own theater.
My favorite scene of that movie is when Marty is having trouble opening the bottle of soda. His dad/George grabs it and uses the bottle opener to open it for him. Just like a parent would.
I think the joke there was that twist-offs didn’t exist or at least weren’t common in ‘55. Marty had only ever experienced twist-offs, so he didn’t think of using a bottle opener.

We have to go back! Back to the Theater! Back in December we rented a theater to watch our favorite Star Wars film, Return of the Jedi. Such a fun experience.

One of my favorite things about working projection at the arclight Hollywood was "testing" the prints in the theater by myself to make sure it played all correctly. Something about having a whole house to yourself.......... Enjoyed watching you go through it too!!
When our new theater opened, they offered really good restaurant type meals ( I had duck!) delivered to your seat - now they offer beer and wine but more traditional theater type snacks!
Thank you Mr. Woo for the suggestion! My daughter and I are on the way to the AMC DS to procure a theater today for the showing of Back To The Future this afternoon! We added the package of eats and treats for extra enjoyment of the movie!
It's kinda weird having the entire theater to yourself...I only ever had that happen once when I was in college, but I'll take that any day over a full theater where the only open seats are the front row.
