No, I had to temporarily move to other projects for few days. Eventual release of a driving world will be announced on UA-cam, Twitter, Discord, Reddit and VRChat forums

Shifters are on the roadmap and currently programming the base for them.
Are you gonna fix the jittering of the driver when this is complete? Or is that a VRChat problem ?
VRChat has fixed the issue with players jittering on stations a while back. I mentioned about the fix in June's development vlog

There will be settings panel in the spawn to choose between Desktop, VR and Fullbody

One option is to use my system early next year or take something like Unity Standard Assets car controller for example and convert it into Udon
