    Kids love it here, and so do adults too as it's nice to finally be in a free country. Think it's crowded because of all rain lately and everyone has been couped up.

    so much activity in that island. Everyday is a different day. not like here in the US where you do the same activity on a daily basis, whether you're still working or retired.

    Wow! That was a very busy market market and good place to get fresh farm products for sure.
    If you know Bud Brown it will be a good idea to see him before they leave the Philippines for good.
    Glad you are enjoying Duma/Valencia area.

      Brown Outs are very common through-out the provinces of the Philippines but we learn to live with it. It's usually announced ahead of time and normally for system maintenance. So when the air conditioning isn't working for the day people schedule outdoor activities like the parks, beaches, etc...or to get aircon they go to the Mall or restaurants. Today the electric came back on at 6pm which was perfect. :)

    Nice video. Yes many people at Sunday Market! Thought maybe because power-out families more likely to get out - but many more vendors too. Appreciate the prices and details and seeing the schoolwork of Brianna. (No intro to the video - the new format or just short on time?)

    • @TurquoiseSunsets
      @TurquoiseSunsets  Рік тому +1

      Hello K & J, Mareis's editing choice was to do it this way but it is not the new format. Next time there will be a nice intro... :) BTW, there are so many more vendors at the Sunday Market, literally double the amount from 2019 with dining, activities and music carry on with fresh chicken and pork lechon into the evening with kids and families. It's a bigger than ever community event, actually a little overwhelming..

    This was the most crowded I have experienced as well. It was the same in Dumaguete in the afternoon. Remember that there was a planned regional power outage, so I think everybody got out of their homes at the same time. 😮

    I like your video regarding the Sunday market in Valencia! I was just wanting to ask if the prices at the Sunday market are cheaper than in the Dumaguete wet market or Robinson supermarket! Maybe the prices are basically the same. Also are the fruit and vegetable prices within the Valencia market the same or does each seller have different prices? Thanks in advance your reply.

  • @garykelder

    John was right. You need to go earlier or later. However, getting the sandwiches are harder to get if you go later.

    • @TurquoiseSunsets
      @TurquoiseSunsets  Рік тому

      I think I will be going earlier and the kids and Mareis can go later. I want the sandwiches and time to investigate the other hot food. Some of it's overprices and not so good so I need to learn and be selective. The fresh produce is incredible!

      The owners leased it out while we were gone and fortunately we're moving back into our two bedroom unit next week.
