      It says it on top of the capacitor. C = Common, Herm= Compressor, Fan = Fan. It's hard to see on camera but you'll see it stamped on top of the cap. Also, I've done so many I know what color wire goes where without thinking. Thank you so much for watching John!

    • @LexVance

      I like to buy my own tools. The company will buy them but they have to stay in the shop for all the techs. Community tools get ragged pretty quick. I prefer having my own nice stuff which I've slowly built up over 20 years. Thank you so much for watching Joe!

    How can I get started without going to school straight away?

    • @GODS_21
      @GODS_21 3 роки тому +2

      Apply...start off as a grounds keeper and just learn everything you can. Get your hands dirty and don't be afraid to make mistakes, that's how you learn.

    • @LexVance
      @LexVance  3 роки тому +2

      I never went to school. Heck, I didn't even know the difference between a flathead and a phillips head screwdriver when I started. Not exaggerating. 😆 I got in through student housing apartment complexes. Since there's such a high turnover rate in student housing, they're always hiring. I started out in 2003 making $8.00 an hour and all I did was pick up trash and paint front doors. I didn't want to do that my whole life so I started grabbing work orders and then going out there and figuring things out. I made TONS of mistakes. But, that didn't stop me. So, if there's any colleges near you they'll have apartment complexes that catures to students. Google "student housing" and see what pops up in your area. They're not part of the college campus or anything so you won't be working for the college. That's the shortcut way in and it worked for me. Get a few years experience in student housing and then you can leave and work wherever you want. Hope this helps! Thank you so much for watching Daisy!
