This is one of best technical talk I ever heard. I heard that professors in IISc say that Prof. Balaram writes excellent research paper and his writing skills are excellent and amazing. They even suggest to refer Prof. Balaram's papers for scientific writing. Even his lectures are great. Thanks for uploading this video.
Wonderful to listen to Prof. Balaram. The vastness of the subject and the clarity of presentation are simply immaculate and are unmatchable. unmatchabe
During early days people did research work by nature philosophy. Somewhat like the incarnation of the bigger is somewhat similar to smaller structures. It is beleived that the plants movements by air or sunlight or competition lead to dynamics of animals.
I ' ve a question in structural functions of proteins which appear as a pair of false walking legs attached to an ants left antenna joined with its first left thoracic leg. I unfersyood it as mis-sense mutant not having any idea of a stucture which happened to be both longer snd shorter of the pair. Sequence dictates structure was not predictable to stabilize such alpha helix or triple helix withou mis-sense mutation in protein we know as ribozymes today. Please correct me if my paper to Current science was returned to me merely acknowledging tge editorialboard in which P.Balaraman happened to be a subject editor on proyein conformation in lower life forms like social ants.Thank you.
i dont think he meant to say that its just that at that time there was no enough money or resources so only persons who would be earning would be prof and he must be wearing a tie that's it

Great minds of India. Wonderful lecture!

An inspiration 🙌

very nice video
My ambition I do phd in computer science in iisc
That's easy, try phd in foreign universities
@@arunprayog7986 stop glorifying abroad....
@@arunprayog7986Meanwhile you don't have the capacity to even pass through a tender college and speaking about iisc😂
18:59.. Sorry sir.. with due respect, do you quantify a person based on whether he wears a tie or a dhoti??

I just wonder why so many people are moving while someone is speaking. Inherent disorder !
