Loved Rockaway! Used to go a lot with friends when in high school! Now I live in Long Island and love the beaches here! Would definitely recommend Long Beach (very relaxed vibes) if its easy for you to get to. you do need to pay to get in but worth it! Also liked Coney Island, little packed but the amusement park being there is fun! Lastly, your body is goalssss 😍😍😍

How fun!! Rockaway is the best! Have you ever gone to a public pool or gotten a day pass for a hotel pool? I always wanted to do that when I lived in NYC but never made it happen.
Yes I’m actually planning to do that this summer! Sounds so fun!
Love Rockaway! Coney Island/Brighton Beach is a real beach, too, (Orchard Beach, nope, not a real beach) and Coney Island is where I randomly met my husband. (Same lesson as this video - go out and do things you enjoy alone. You never know what might happen!) We stayed at the Rockaway Hotel at B116th on our wedding night last summer but sadly that portion of the beach is closed this summer for repairs.

Heeeyyyy!! I grew up going to Orchard Beach. Why do you say it’s not a real beach? I heard it’s been cleaned up; unlike when I was little, there were used diapers floating in the water. 😂😂😂
@@lalitafaroli 😁😃- it is a lot cleaner than it was (used to be horribly filthy) but it's on the sound/bay far from the ocean so just not the same as Rockaway (or even Coney Island). At least it provides a place for people to swim and relax, though, which is a great thing because it is quite a trek from the Bronx to Rockaway
