They put butts in seats because they have talent. They create and play music that makes people feel good. Never could have imagined that they’d still be here 45 years in. Thanks mates!
The secret to their success is simple. Humility! They’ve never taken their audience for granted and you can see they genuinely love what they do always giving 100% in their live shows!
My two sons that are 22 & 24 and I went and saw the boys last night kicking off the summer tour in STL... They were beyond amazing.. I loved that I got to share this experience with my boys and my favorite band. Amazing show!
1983 I was driving on H1 and could see Aloha Stadium and beyond when Photograph played on local FM station. I could not believe what I was hearing! I’ve seen DL half dozen times since and will see them again this summer in Virginia. Can’t wait!
Unlike Motley Crue, who with Vince Neil, sound terrible live these days, Leppard brings it! I saw them at the Vegas residency show and they were everything I hoped they'd be! I plan to catch them this time around too. They're only gonna do this so many more times before they call it a career. Better see 'em while you can and while they're still killin' it!
July 25th, Hershey Stadium is Gonna Get Rocked. 16th concert, 1 meet and greet. Def Leppard, the Soundtrack to my life. Every album, every song. Long live Def Leppard
This band puts butts in seats because they are fantastically talented, they keep putting out great music that's fresh and outstanding and they are my favorite band ever!!! Since High and Dry, I've been a Def Leppard fan. I'll see them every chance I get!!! Keep doing what you are doing guys and don't ever stop!! 🥰😍😘😘😘😘😘
saw the lads at saratoga ny in 2009 they were spot on show, never a dull moment with these guys good luck on 2024 tour cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can’t wait to see them at Wrigley Field shortly! One of my favorite bands since middle school. My aunt met them on more than one occasion backstage and she is the one who got me into them. This is so exciting! I’m not going for Journey. I’m going for these guys!!!
I'd say the Canadian band Triumph deserves to be in the R&RHOF. They were one of the best bands at the 1983 US festival and had many great songs. DL also had another MTV video that I think came out before Pyromania but wasn't release on any studio album and its name was Me and My Wine which is on You-Tube and is pretty funny.
One of the greatest rock bands! I will never miss a concert when they tour here in St.Louis . I went to this concert and took my 60yr old brother for his birthday. He never got to see Def Leppard.. He was so glad he got to go! I’ve been a fan since the 80s… My 2 boys grew up listening to them, now my grandchildren know them and love them❤ Keep Rockn Def Leppard ❤️
This band makes me feel twelve since I was twelve.. I lose myself, my problems don't exist when I sing and dance at their shows. Their songs make me feel something unexplainable. Can't get enough of their concerts. Most fans, we go to see them as much as we can no matter where we live. I am from Argentina and I'll be travelling in August to the US just to see them. August 9th at Hard Rock!
This band gives me chills, makes me happy cry, and takes me back to the best memories of my life. SO excited for 7/20 in Nashville! I may die of a heatstroke but what a way to go 😂🔥
Because they r great!!!! Even if they just played thee old stuff they would feel seats!!!! Please come back soon, St Louis, Peoria, Illinois please please
A loyal female fan since the release of On Through the Night and seeing Leppard live twice on their first American Tour. I was hooked from the beginning and have never missed an American Tour since. They were amazing then and are my absolute favorite band to this day. ❤
Def Leppard and their peers got into the industry before the digital door slammed shut on the bands ! That is why they can consistently put asses in seats every year every show !!!! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Incredible show in Atlanta last night! Fan since I was a teenager (early/mid-80's) and was my first time seeing them live. Before closing out the show, Joe said they WOULD be back. I sure hope so!
Make a note, please, Cat woman is usually at their shows ALL the time! Bringing on The heartbreak could always use a new & better video, perhaps, thanks gentlemen, enjoyed..."Pyromania" album still my favorite of my music collection...Take care, stay blessed, stay strong!
Would Def Leppard ever consider playing more material from the first 2 albums that were written with Pete Willis and Steve Clark like Overture and lady strange?????
UFO should be in RRHoFame! Travesty they arnt and yes Thin Lizzy. Good interview , still vital and developing band after all these years alongside Maiden and Saxon. Come back to Oz again.
Why have Vivian at these? They never bring him into the conversation... These reporters are too unknowledgable to know how great he is & how lucky Def Lepard are to have him.
Gotta remember vivan was not part of the band during the pyromania recording sessions, bringing on the heartbreak video, n hysteria album. It seemed like alot of the questions were towards the early years.
@@charlesmeckler8683 exactly...it's they Pyromania tour and that's what she focused on. Too bad for Viv, but such is life. They aren't doing it on purpose. AND NOTE: it's not like Viv is UNLUCKY to be there. There's a good chance that without Def Leppard - as talented is Viv is - he'd be a studio musician somewhere or out of the business entirely. No matter how much talent you have, it's not like you can be a megastar or in a band like Leppard at will. Many great and talented guys - actually MOST of them - end up not finding a hugely successful gig and disappearing. After Whitesnake it's not like Viv had any clear path to continued stardom.
@@MattKittredge2112 yeah, I know her music is boring. I just thought you guys were taking about her beauty or her age, because she's looking very good for her age :)

Also great music.
Def Leppard is the best, that's why they sell seats.
They fill seats because they have Real Talent.
Bingo! 👍🏻
Straight up!
Spot on

@@leahbrooker6593 beyond talent. Ñòt up yet and makes me cry⁰
NOW I HAVE A REASON TO SEE THEM LIVE!!!!!!!!!!! Pyromania is one of the greatest metal records EVER!
They sell seats over these pop acts because they are actual real artists and superb performers.
My two sons that are 22 & 24 and I went and saw the boys last night kicking off the summer tour in STL... They were beyond amazing.. I loved that I got to share this experience with my boys and my favorite band. Amazing show!
The set list is strong, great start and finish
The Leppard Lads never dissapoint...

July 27 San Francisco for me and this will be my 14th time seeing them. I vow on my 15th time I’ll get to do a meet and greet!
I live by Baltimore and might have to make the trip to Hershey but I hate journey
keep on the great work guys!!!!!

Couldn't agree more- Triumph definitely needs to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame..
They rocked the house in St Louis. My wife and I had 6th row center and def Leppard blew us back 4 rows with the intro. Fkn awesome

Still shocked that she compared those to Def Leppard 😮

Seeing them for the 3rd time in Nashville on July 20th
Great interview
They were teenagers when they put out On Through the Night and High and Dry
Did Girl (Phil Collens and Phil lewises first band) play shows in America with U.F.O. In 1980 on the nowhere to Run tour?????
Def Leppard will always be Steve Clark and Pete Willis the true terror twins
Great questions, Lyndsey. I have one question for you. What do you want? Lean into Pyromania for your answer!
Its not on Pyro of course but how about "Lady Strange"?...last time live?
You coming to Peoria Illinois
Now that's an awesome interviewer
Would Def Leppard ever consider playing more material from the first 2 albums that were written with Pete Willis and Steve Clark like Overture and lady strange?????
Satellite
Oh no Now as well.. we young girl fans are now old lady fans.. no change just age& maturity!! 😅❤
I promised my daughter who is a fan I will buy her a ticket she's dying to see them with her good old mum! Lol she grew up listening
See you August 16th! 🤘
Enjoy the Nashville show!
I'm in for Atlanta on the 13th. 😱
I'm a screaming woman, now I have a screaming 22 year old, she screams louder than me, I raised her right!
Just WON Free tickets, See ya boys in SF !!!
The reason they're still selling out stadiums is because they are 100% alive with no pre-recorded bullshit.
I wish they would do an arena tour. I've never been a big fan of stadium shows.
Same here
ALSO…ILL BE IN THE UNION JACK T~SHIRT FIELD SEATS SECTION 111 ❤
Awesome video ❤
People still like def eppard I do
Wow!Hanoi Rocks!!
You know Joe loves Michael Monroe!
Comin Under Fire... Yes Please
great band. wish they were doing an arena tour. stadium tours r the worst.
they are real musicians
Def will always be Joe , Rick , Clark and Pete the original line up can't replace what can't be replaced
See you for 18th time in Hersey
Down by the Lazy River
Hanoi Rocks, indeed. Good luck with that, though.
Thin Lizzy will get in.

Because they Are Awesome!!❤❤❤ and 🔥 🥵 hot lol
The reason def Leppard can out sell these younger generation groups is because they only get better these newer groups suck

Bad bunny , Jennifer lopez ? 😂 nahh
