＜曲目解説＞
卓越したプレイヤーのために作品を書くことの醍醐味は、五線に隙がないほど真っ黒に埋め尽くされた楽譜であっても難なくさらりと音にし、創造主にも想像できない感情を表現してくれることでしょう。
井上さんのバス・クラリネットへの情熱に応えるのと同時に聴き手にも理解しやすい現代風な作品を、と思いついたのが「ブルース」（淡谷のり子や森進一は忘れてください）。
本作品を大雑把に表現すればブルー・ノートやブルース・スケールを意識したバス・クラリネットのための作品、と言ったところでしょうか。
こんなタイトルをつけてしまってガーシュイン先生も天国でさぞかしお怒りでしょうけど、井上さんの素晴らしい名演奏に免じてお許しいただきましょうか。
The real pleasure of writing a piece for an exceptional player is that he or she can effortlessly play the music, even when the score is filled with notes and demanding technical passages, often expressing emotions even the composer could not imagine.
“Blues" was inspired by Ms. Inoue's passion for the bass clarinet, but it is composed in a contemporary style, easy for listeners to enjoy.
As a result, the piece is something more than a traditional blues for bass clarinet.
It is a contemporary composition for instrument, heavily influenced by blue notes and blues scales.
If he were still alive, George Gershwin might not approve of the borrowing of the title of his famous piano concerto, but the composer hopes Gershwin would agree adopting it for this piece is an apt homage to Ms. Inoue’s wonderful and masterful performance.
