- I made this song in like 5 hours for my college songwriting class but people liked it so I’m posting it on here.
The assignment was to find a track and top-line over it (write melody and lyrics) so I found a guitar track by @unfinishedsongs on UA-cam and added the vocals and other instruments (link to the original, no.40: • Upbeat acoustic guitar... )

If I may take this concept on a side tangent: the vibration of atoms is a form of kinetic energy, and this vibration is measured as temperature. So technically we convert potential energy to kinetic energy just by being alive and generating body heat. Eating food, making our atoms jiggle. So in this specific, profoundly metaphorical sense, even science tells us that our worth is not dependent on our productivity; our potential is already kinetic just because we're alive. (Gotta love it when science has poetic meaning.)

I don't think I could find another songwriter that could more aptly put all the thoughts that race through my mind into words. These songs have been part of a larger catalyst for change in my life.
