Now it makes sense that the girl who was squatting in red light green light had to give up. I didn’t understand why but now knowing that she probably had to do that for up to 20 minutes now I get it.
I also did not understand why people laid on the ground when they ran. Now we know, they were probably super tired and by doing this they could be comfortable for those long waiting periods!
I was a games tester on red light green light..it was cold at the hanger where it was filmed..but hey ,production paid us well for our time..Good luck too the real contestants 👍
Really?? I was there. They gave us two sets of thermals and heavily advised us to wear both before we shipped out to the hangar. I was fine personally, and cleared that round. It was a long day of filming, and the pose holding really was at least 10-15 minutes each stoppage, but it was Squid Game...not summer camp. Idk what some people were expecting.
It might of been cruel but it will be the most watch game show in history, just got done watching the first 5 episode and all have to say is WOW. Absolutely genius as far as game shows go the most entertaining game show I have ever watched in my life.
@@joesmith201212It really wasn’t. I knew exactly what they were doing and if you watch it again I guarantee you so did the one odd guy out. He immediately was like “I’m cool being the one without a partner”
Yeah! so many things make sense now. 1. Hands in pockets (many players did this and I didn't get it) 2. Squatting get quits 3. People just running and then laying flat on the ground. But if you have to wait 20 minutes, hell yes I would do that. I don't get why it took them so long to do this game. 10 people watching cameras should have been enough to quickly eliminate contestants.
To be fair, the show didn’t make red light green light last 7 hours. So if they did watch the show it wouldn’t be silly to think that it would be like the version from the show.
Honestly, I did not expect the show to be so good. The way they have designed the games and tests is so smart and genius, always have us guessing too. Good one Netflix, can't wait for finale
Has anyone noticed while watching squid game the challenge, right after the part where the very first group couldnt agree on picking the shapes for Dalgona you noticed a hole was punched through the triangle wall. There probably was some kind of altercation but they didnt show it. It was kinda weird how abrupt they stopped filming what happened after.
I was also so confused as to why they completely cut out their reactions to getting eliminated like that. And only showed the shock off the people in the other room. I also thought maybe they all got really pissed so they cut it out or something. Because it irritated me bad that we never saw them on screen again after that reveal
The prize was for over four million dollars, with dozens of contestants, playing "simple" games. Did they expect it to be a cake walk completed in an hour?
On one hand, treating your contestants like that ain't right. On the other hand, it's based off of Squid Game. I argue it was a bad idea to have a game show based on that nightmare game show from the getgo!
Oh yeah, there was that option too, so I don't feel why they should complain. Even the players (the korean show) said the place was a hell hole, so in the reality way, it kinda lives up to the source material.

Posing still for 15 minutes in a cold environment for a chance to win 5 millions? Sign me the hell up. Anyone who played the first game knows the pause in between need to be very long if not it will be such an easy game everyone will went through.
Nah I hear you but to be fair, it was 15-30ish minutes between each pose, which means they were playing for around 6 hours in the cold. I mean I'd still play but I feel like where the show failed was in the expectations of the games difficulties. But at the same time, they could've left whenever they wanted
I'm pretty sure even if they were being warned about conditions, such as standing for almost 10 hours in the RLGL game, that people would still do it. The prize money is too tempting.
What did they expect? You're playing a game for money? They're gonna make it hard.... It's better than getting killed to make the money...here is your ointment, rub it on that burn
You know damned well they signed contracts. Even those idiots at Oceangate had the people who got killed sign contracts before they actually got killed. Everyone from a corporate or LLC will most likely have a participation contract and clause.
The contract for Survivor was almost 250 pages. The NDA was extensive and pretty much forced you to be silent about production especially while the show would air. I think the grumbling and potential lawsuits are production strategies to drum up publicity as to the "harsh" conditions.
Nothing you said was “inhumane”. I think it’s actually ridiculous to call competing for 4.5 million dollars just by playing some games where you were sometimes cold, and couldn’t pee for a while as “inhumane”. If it was so bad, you could leave at any time. You signed up for it. There are actual people in the world living in inhumane conditions where there is no prize at the end and they have no choice. How are they going to be able to go pee while playing the games? They can’t take breaks otherwise it defeats the purpose of the games and challenges And there’s hundreds of people, like with any show they spot the ones who are the most vocal and entertaining and have a story line. That’s how tv works
This entire show feels so cold and heartless, there was no depth to the show. Totally believe it was scripted. There were too many contestants and I didn't feel attached to any one of them except maybe Mai. There were too many games that were left to chance, it wasn't like the contestants actually work really hard to earn anything. I didn't care for most of them and I don't really care who won. Trying to make like the contestants that got eliminated look like they "died" just felt empy. It didn't feel like it was any real consequences. The finale didn't even feature the actual Korean Squid Game, so why even call it squid game??? Just empty shell of a show.
i am so baffled why netflix thought making this was okay. the whole point of squidgame was that explointing poor people for your entertainment is a horrible thing to do. so they offer what they themselves describe as a "lifechanging" amount of money to real people, and then are surprised when those people push themseleves far past their physical limit and get hurt? for those saying contestants should've realized it would be bad coming in, yeah i'm sure they did know that, they were also being offered a chance to win 4.6 million usd. which could genuinely save peoples lives. i am glad they were not horribly injured or killed, and im glad they realized what a horrible situation they were put in and that some are sueing
I have a inkling that netflix may have thought it was a good idea because A: it's made them a metric fucktonne of money. and B: because it's made them a metric fucktonne of money. also the shows fantastic entertainment.
I don't think you are realizing what is happening here. From what is known, we can assume most or all people who signed up weren't contestants but mere actors/extras. The whole thing looks fully scripted, so the complaints are not about the game show but about a poorly handled reality-show production that sells itself as a Squid Game style game show.
@travelswithminky246 i guess we won't see any of the contracts, but the reports clearly suggest that the casting was focused on a few influencers. When you watch the series, it is very(!) simple to spot the scripting. Unfortunately, it seems to have more in common with Wrestling than with a "Who wants to be a millionare" game show.
i prefer the Korean series, because it is fiction. this show features the greed of actual people. it is sad and it is disappointing that to win the million dollar prize, people had to go through so much 😔 also, nothing beats actual hard work to earn money. in Survivor, they had to starve 30 days in the wild.
the comment section here makes me feel bad for humanity. The show was meant to highlight how desperate people are to be able to get money to live - that's where we are in society now - no one can afford basic needs like housing and food and y'all are here like "they knew" - no, netflix - the corporation knew it could exploit contestants for cheap content.
Managing 456 people will obviously have its challenges. Plus the prize money makes it difficult to provide the participants with the proper facilities, somewhere corners had to be cut to make a buck. But all and all i enjoyed the show, it was fun, although some moments and players became repetitive and brought down the hype for me, mostly towards the end of the show
7 hours for red light green light?!?? HOW!!!?? REALLY.... HOW??? It takes what about maybe ten minutes to run that game entirely?.... They must have edited, cut it.... Re filmed it over and over.... What do people do for 7 hours!!???? Also, the second to last game. Yeah.... Sure, thr first light shape was obviously going to be grey. If it had been 'red' then no drama going into rhe final..... Oh yeah and HOW CONVENIENT that they two last people had to go throw about 90% of the keys before the safe opened. BULLSHIT!!!! does anyone ACTUALLY think a 'key' opened that safe. Furthermore.... A lot of the final contestants... All had tragic backstories. God forbid.... Just some regular person could have won with a 'hey, I thought I would sign up for this for fun.... Nah nah, my life is good. Steady job, good family,..... What are the odds I got in. MORE RIGGED THAN RANDOM!!!!!!... ..... but then it is Netflix.
all the above😂432 just couldn’t contain himself😂narcissist arrogant kid. he was obviously selected for that reason and i hope he gets all what’s comin cause life will be hard for ol wanna b pretty boy
This people signup and you think they'll give 4.5m that easily ? Lol thats 3x the price in survivor if you win for 39days. This people complain cuz they lose.
Ummm their warning was watching the actual show. To think it would be some easy game show that was going to hand people 4 million dollars is absolutely ridiculous . If they didn’t honestly think it was going to be hell going into it then that is their problem. I don’t feel sorry for them considering they all had free will and were given an option to quit and leave at any point. They weren’t forced to stay and compete
To me all these reality extreme show games are not what they seem to be as well. People better learn to read the those contracts and get a lawyer before they sign up. Because once you sign your name and the cameras are rolling you already sold your soul. And remember they are being greedy by participating so to this is the price you pay for being greedy and thinking that you're entitled to something after you were eliminated.
If someone had passed out, hit their head and almost died or died and the conditions they were told to be in were not accurate, Then I would have sued. If you’re playing a game like this it needs to be ethical and players need to be warned it will be tough, cold etc. and they definitely need things in place to ensure medics can reach patients.
Netflix can deny this all they want, of course special treatment and rules were given to the Influencers anyone with a brain would already know this even without watching it.The Influencers also had all the screen time. The only time you saw none Influencers was when they were getting Eliminated. Rigged game is a genius title since that's EXACTLY what it is!
Oh wow they entered a contest where are the conditions were terrible as opposed to a contest where the conditions are irreversible in life-threatening😂😂😂
I mean… what the hell did they expect? At least they weren’t really killed. That’s a win. But also if they were suffering just nominate your self or forfeit the game. Are they being held there against their will?
None of this is dark and none of this compares to anything that they go through on Survivor. The only actual cruel thing about the show are the hundreds of people that got 0 airtime.
They had a welfare team that regularly checked in with players during and after filming. One contestant who made it quite far said welfare checked in with him numerous times after filming for weeks after it was over.
sounds like those are some salty loser contestants. What I didn't like, was the bullying in episode 2. F that guy in particular that threatened violence. How dumb can you be? threaten someone with violence ON CAMERA.
They should watch the series and be notified that the series is related to the game then sign a waiver. Unfortunately, it is inhumane if you want to remain true to the game. You should not have joined. It's not a tour, it's a reality-based game of the harsh and tricky conditions. It's supposed to be difficult.
Squid games sucks, the challenges are lame, the rules and regulations are way too lenient, watching a bunch unnecessary drama of a group of losers, who get to eat and sleep all they want, take naps, perform absolutely no feats of accomplishment or do anything that's actually challenging is not entertaining. It's frustrating and boring.
I honestly think that the show lacks of darkness compared to the narrative series. I was hoping to see them breakdown, to see how desperate some of them to leave instead of continuing the game.
Are we supposed to feel bad for someone who had a chance to win 4.5 million dollars… if you felt it was too cruel - quit! Or better yet, just don’t play and give your spot to someone willing to do it for that kind of money.
It is Squid Game so what else was expected . It was always going to be a mess and a capitalistic chase. Using people's financial vulnerabilities and desire for fame as a contingency plan to leverage the participants. If anything I believe the least they could've done is pay all the contestants for their time being on set maybe daily, hourly or weekly because we all know the time it takes to create a quality production in comparison to what we the viewers see is two completely different things. I do also believe if a volunteer set out to go on capitalist wild goose chase that is also a personal decision based on their own personal desperation, goals and desires. But furthermore no one forced these people to put themselves there so any depravity, degradation, sufferings and traumas they may have experienced had completely manifested out of their own self doing. Like I said it is Squid Game the real show wasn't pleasant a reality show is almost exactly the same thing . For this, It's a must watch ..
When you enter a reality game show with a huge pot money to be won everyone is asked to sign a waiver/contract. I hope they read the contract thoroughly otherwise...
It's so staged . Clearly, there are actors who are already among all the real participants. But it evidente who are the actors and who are the real players called the casting. In fact, there are testimonies from players who say that several were actors, for example the winner. A real circus
Yeah i stopped watching halfway through the first episode. I dont give a shit anout the "horrible conditions". Americans on reality shows just make that shit so cringey.
4.5 million dollars. I am sure that during the show they thought the conditions are not that extreme thinking that they can win the prize. Only once they lost.

People that signed up and were involved in this show are sick. Squid game is a warning to society not a game that should be imitated for fun.
What did they expect? You're playing a game for money? They're gonna make it hard.... It's better than getting killed to make the money...here is your ointment, rub it on that burn
PLEASE, they know what they signed up for...
I can't imagine actually signing up for this game in any faced
Unless those contestants signed airtight contracts, Netflix may find themselves getting fitted for a massive class action lawsuit.
No doubt there is a contract
You would suffocate in that contract
the contract states your life will be spared if you don't whine like a prima donna.
You know damned well they signed contracts. Even those idiots at Oceangate had the people who got killed sign contracts before they actually got killed.
Everyone from a corporate or LLC will most likely have a participation contract and clause.
There is already one in the works according to BBC and other news outlets, but only two people so far. Might end up with more or just get dropped.
Yet there’s a season 2 and people are still going want to be on it.
The contract for Survivor was almost 250 pages. The NDA was extensive and pretty much forced you to be silent about production especially while the show would air. I think the grumbling and potential lawsuits are production strategies to drum up publicity as to the "harsh" conditions.
No one from Mr Beast video complained 😂
Because everyone loves him. He does wild things all the time.
They can’t take breaks otherwise it defeats the purpose of the games and challenges
And there’s hundreds of people, like with any show they spot the ones who are the most vocal and entertaining and have a story line. That’s how tv works
This Game is insane and difficult to play in this harsh environment.
This show is crazy good.
I’m signing up for next season
"I'm the chosen one!", said Squidward 🐙
This entire show feels so cold and heartless, there was no depth to the show. Totally believe it was scripted. There were too many contestants and I didn't feel attached to any one of them except maybe Mai. There were too many games that were left to chance, it wasn't like the contestants actually work really hard to earn anything. I didn't care for most of them and I don't really care who won. Trying to make like the contestants that got eliminated look like they "died" just felt empy. It didn't feel like it was any real consequences. The finale didn't even feature the actual Korean Squid Game, so why even call it squid game??? Just empty shell of a show.
I wonder why can't Netflix, take notes from Jimmy aka Mrbeast's video, at least they did not get hurt in, red light, green light.
Kinda makes me wanna watch it.
i am so baffled why netflix thought making this was okay. the whole point of squidgame was that explointing poor people for your entertainment is a horrible thing to do. so they offer what they themselves describe as a "lifechanging" amount of money to real people, and then are surprised when those people push themseleves far past their physical limit and get hurt? for those saying contestants should've realized it would be bad coming in, yeah i'm sure they did know that, they were also being offered a chance to win 4.6 million usd. which could genuinely save peoples lives. i am glad they were not horribly injured or killed, and im glad they realized what a horrible situation they were put in and that some are sueing
I have a inkling that netflix may have thought it was a good idea because A: it's made them a metric fucktonne of money. and B: because it's made them a metric fucktonne of money.
also the shows fantastic entertainment.
Wah wah wah wah all the way to the bank for $4.5 MILLION dollars. 😭😭😭😭 It's Squid Game. They knew what they were signing up for. No pity.
exactly, people are so spoiled these days they want everything nice and easy.
@@LastLasse is this an assumption? netflix will jeopardize their most watched and famous hits by doing this act? that's a huge risk?
@travelswithminky246 i guess we won't see any of the contracts, but the reports clearly suggest that the casting was focused on a few influencers. When you watch the series, it is very(!) simple to spot the scripting. Unfortunately, it seems to have more in common with Wrestling than with a "Who wants to be a millionare" game show.
i prefer the Korean series, because it is fiction. this show features the greed of actual people. it is sad and it is disappointing that to win the million dollar prize, people had to go through so much 😔
also, nothing beats actual hard work to earn money. in Survivor, they had to starve 30 days in the wild.
People just have to complain. Come on its $4.6million. How bad do you want this money? 🤔
the comment section here makes me feel bad for humanity. The show was meant to highlight how desperate people are to be able to get money to live - that's where we are in society now - no one can afford basic needs like housing and food and y'all are here like "they knew" - no, netflix - the corporation knew it could exploit contestants for cheap content.
I can understand rigging the show for high-profile participants, but "instagram influencers"? Come on, that's the lowest of the low
They signed the contracts
”Life, laugh, love” - Bryton
”I Will snap you on my knee” - Bryton
Pftt not life and death ? Well darn
The people with screen time are going far or just for drama and clout
all the above😂432 just couldn’t contain himself😂narcissist arrogant kid. he was obviously selected for that reason and i hope he gets all what’s comin cause life will be hard for ol wanna b pretty boy
So contestants are overall upset the conditions and challenges weren’t easy?
Love the show, but it's sad that the contestants had to go through hell for it. Torture is not entertainment
They might as well just rename it "Capitalism: The Game".
That game is called Monopoly. This game has very little to do with capitalism.
that game is called I'm living in the nightmare in america now!
This people signup and you think they'll give 4.5m that easily ? Lol thats 3x the price in survivor if you win for 39days. This people complain cuz they lose.
They thought it was gone be a walk in the park for 4.56 million lol 😅
But yea they set unrealistic expectation big time
it wouldve been completely fine if they were properly warned of what would happen in this game, its gross that people are defending this
Ummm their warning was watching the actual show.
That much money on the line and only one winner out of HUNDREDS of contestants, there's going to be ALOT of "butt hurt" feelings and complaining.
The chicken dude in the thumbnail who sobbed and pretended like he was gonna puke💀💀
Tbh i think the 1st few episodes was good...cant wait for the next
I was hoping to see them breakdown, to see how desperate some of them to leave instead of continuing the game.
you should try looking into sociopathy, you fit that bill pretty well
Only Americans can complain about cold weather for 4.5 million dollar challenge. Entitled jokes. You are lucky enough to have this chance.
SPOILER!! the fact they made the people do marbels with there loved onces whas so cruel im sorry but that was just a big no for me
Are we supposed to feel bad for someone who had a chance to win 4.5 million dollars… if you felt it was too cruel - quit! Or better yet, just don’t play and give your spot to someone willing to do it for that kind of money.
This is most cruel game show we didn't expected to do a
I hope they dont cancel the fictional show as it isnt the writers fault also isnt that the whole point of the show. Greed and corruption
It's $4.56 MILLION DOLLARS its not SUPPOSED to be comfortable!
i don't get why netflix thought this show was a good idea, really missed the whole point of the show frfr
Can't wait to watch the the challenge
Law suits are so petty! i thought someone was severely hurt 😅 so just turn up The heat next time
Dang I cancelled Netflix. Now I have to do a free trial to see this mess.
I don't think Netflix offers free trials anymore. But sign up for a month; it's worth to watch this.
I do not feel bad for any of the contestants lmao
When you enter a reality game show with a huge pot money to be won everyone is asked to sign a waiver/contract. I hope they read the contract thoroughly otherwise...
Were they not allowed to leave? Oh… they could leave this competition for 3 million dollars at anytime…. Nah I don’t feel bad
Too many complaints...as if they didn't watch the movie. What the heck do you expect from a game that feeds off human greed?
I will pay out of my own pocket for Spencer so he can get therapy
Who the hell is getting injured from running to one side to th other.. smh
It's so staged . Clearly, there are actors who are already among all the real participants. But it evidente who are the actors and who are the real players called the casting. In fact, there are testimonies from players who say that several were actors, for example the winner. A real circus
Wow
Well, give them all Oscars!
1st world problems
I’ve watched reality game shows and this is a walk in the park compared to others
