New to your channel, enjoying your bible reviews, it has taken me a small fortune buying bibles "that I cannot read" to find out what I really do enjoy reading. Fonts, print color, font size makes a big difference! 🙏🏼
@@ClaimingChristianity I love the notes brother! Just seeing what these guys have said about a specific verse is amazing! I wish there was commentary for every verse, but I understand why not because the study Bible would be like an encyclopedia lol.
I am new to your channel (and just subscribed!) Forgive me if you have mentioned this resource before. I only mention it because about 10 minutes in you comment of how great it would be for Crossway to have an online version of this Study Bible that had clickable links to their comment sections to see the complete text....particularly during a few Spurgeon notes. Not quite the same, but there is an online archive that has Spurgeon's Sermons organized by the Bible: Book, Chapter and verse. If the sermon is available online, you can click on it to read the whole sermon. I printed it all out to keep with my Spurgeon volumes because I don't always have internet. It really helps with Bible Study! I believe it's called The Spurgeon Archive.
I have not ever heard of this resource. But I really really appreciate you mentioning that because I will be going to it and making sure I have them. Thank you so much and of course, thank you for the sub! Soli Deo Gloria
Hi Steve, thanks for your thorough review! How does this study bible differ from ESV (Crossway) Study Bible and Reformation Study Bible? I have the latter two and wonder if the Church History study bible is worth getting. It seems like ESV has lots of study bibles compared to other translations.
Good question. This one is quite a bit different than the other two. The other two have general commentary on the scripture. This one‘s commentary is focused on church history, and everything that goes into that. So really the information that you’re getting in the commentary portion is quite a bit different than in the other two that you mentioned. One would be general information to help you understand the passage… The others while it helps. You understand the passage is kind of focused on the church history part. I hope that’s helpful.

Glad they’re helpful! And that can be a problem when you can “check it out first” so I’m happy to be able to give some sort of a preview.
Looks like it would make a good companion to the CSB Ancient Faith Study Bible. I'll have to keep my eye out for this one.
Yeah. I shoulda compared um. I like that ancient faith SB!
Excellent, excellent review brother Steve! Thank you again for accepting my request to review this bible. It’s great! Keep enjoying it🙏🏾
Glad you asked. I've enjoyed reading through the notes! SDG

Yeah. Lol. There is. But it would take a whole library.
I checked Logos and you can pre-order the notes for $19.99. Regular price will be $29.99. I don't know how they will handle links.

Between this Church History SB and the Ancient Faith SB wich one do you think is better?
That’s hard. Cause they’re slightly different. Both good.
