I served in the 6th Brigade of R.o.K Marine. We don't learn any CQB tactics and rifles are at the level of 70s. Even we keep reporting that we need to change our drills, officers won't listen to the conscripts who will be discharged in two years. Pretty sad.

@@warjinping 해병대 훈련과정 다 수료한 징집병 중에 가장 팔팔한 인재들인데 2020년도에 아직도 탄피받이 때문에 기동사격 한 번을 훈련 안시키고 다 정밀사 위주 고정사격만 하는건 문제가 있다고 보는데요? ㅋㅋㅋ 그리고 전방 해병수색대는 이미 다 플캐 하이컷 헬멧 k2c1 쓴답니다~ 당장 내 부대에 대해서 내가 후기 남기는데 뭘 이러쿵저러쿵.. ㅋㅋ

Some officers and NCOs are paying their own salaries to be trained by private tactical instructors to spread tactical knowledge to the military, but they are soon labeled "unusual" by their stupid superiors and are repeatedly kicked out of the military. All the remaining officers in the military now are stupid people who survived by fawning over their stupid superiors. As a former ROK army officer, I can guarantee they will be even stupider than they are now.
Old LWH does look better. High cut helmet also doesn't protect ears from shrapnels. Plus if you think USMC appearance is bad, look at Singapore Army with high cut helmet.. even more goofier.

Marine here, these guys are rocking some pretty good kit. M4’s with ACOG and VCOG optics, M27’s, suppressors, night vision…out of curiosity, what would you consider to be better? I don’t mean that to be rude, I genuinely wonder what is the gold standard of quality in South Korea that those weapons are not meeting lol
@@isaaccano6858 I'm a former ROK army officer, but to you, the Marine Corps is USMC, to us, the Marine Corps is ROKMC. And most Koreans know that our Marine Corps is worse than yours lol. Even Korean marines would think so except for the generals. Among young Korean people these days, memes about the ROK Marines being g-ays spread, so the number of ROK Marines commissioned this year was the lowest ever. As far as I know, there are memes about US Marines eating crayons, but there are memes about ROK Marines eating poop and men's cream. The problem is, it's a real military crime case, so it's even more shocking...Because of that, former Korean marines even hide the fact that they are marines these days. I'm really sorry for this reality.
@@isaaccano6858 When I was in the Army, I used to train my soldiers by referring to USMC's training videos often. They were great then, but I still think they are great now. Especially, I envy you the most that you guys pride yourself on being a soldier. I also pride myself on the fact that I was an ROK army officer, but on the other hand, I feel sorry for the very low quality of training and equipment in the Korean military. Korean soldiers are increasingly losing their pride because of that fact. That's why he is cursing ROK Marines.
I am an American but I think you should give your own military more credit. The South Korean military has survived against all odds. Here in the US we consider them one of our most important allies.
