Johnny you are the most compassionate man there is. Even while on tows you give the car owners so much respect. That says a lot about you man. Much love to you!
He is right, Johnny and the manager keep giving him a pass. This will keep going until a snatch truck gets it off the ground and even then he'll try to drive it off the truck.
I'm not one to comment ALOT on people's pages, but I've been watching you for maybe 6 months. I'm very impressed by your efficiency and your heart. You treat everyone with respect and dignity. You give me hope for the future. Thank you for all you do.
It's easy to tell nowadays which humans are soulless and which are genuine, real, empathetic, caring, loving humans with a soul, and that is real and the story of how some of us have a soul and don't is one the gov. keeps from you, anyway, Johnny is a guy I'd want next to me in a war or any situation that requires "toxic masculinity"....lol. I don't know him personally but have been watching him since the beginning and it took a while for the numbers to rise but they have and it's because he's real, and people can feel that the first time they watch him. He's the perfect person for this job because he has a soul and he's not afraid of confrontation and like me, he's not afraid to fight, and in being that type of person it actually makes it easier to defuse a situation because if you show any fear or lack of control over the situation, that's when someone may get hurt. Johnny plans to go home every night after work and I sure wouldn't want to interrupt his plans....lol
My son living over in Cleveland ran into similar issues a few months back. I told him exactly what you've been saying to talk to the property manager. It did take a while to get resolved because the car was indeed new to him and getting the title cleared was coming from out of state. But it did happen and everything is fine now. He did have to pay some extra fees, but his car was never towed. What a difference just talking to folks in a civil manner can have!
My son’s friend had that issue with a car he was working on. We spoke with property managment and agreed to solution that worked for everyone. A) The car had to be moved to a new spot every 3 days. (Rolled it by hand) B) Tires stayed inflated & car washed regularly C) Any parts, tools etc had to be out of sight when unattended. …oh, and the woman boss wanted a ride when it was finished. Good people and good kids.
@@themotorcyclemasswhole Nice! But I love the point Johnny is stressing on his channel and to the people he's interacting with; if you simply talk to whomever (property managers in these cases) in a reasonable fashion (no Karen freakouts in other words) a world of hurt can be avoided. Sadly, it seems so many people want to engage in contrary-ism (whatever it is you are talking about they want to take the oppositional side on) or entitled-ism (thinking they are better than someone else, or that rules/laws don't apply to them). Sorry, getting really philosophical again!
Being in EMS for a looong time, our most commonly used phrase is “you can’t make this stuff up!”, thank you for videoing your line of public work, due to privacy laws, we can’t! Keep up the strong work Johnny!! 💪💪🛻🛻
Hurtling toward #300! Keep up the great work. That guy thinks he has unlimited time because of his precious note from the office. Think again when Johnny's around!
Be careful. That one dude at the motel just stood there watching you the while time. Looked a little sketchy. God's mercy and peace to you Johnny. The way you continue to do your job everyday without harm just shows God's precious love and mercy for you. God be always praised!
Johnny, if everyone treated one another like you do .... This would so much better world. Calm, respectful, low key. You should be an example for all of us. Thank You for what you do and how you do it. 🇺🇸
That Hyundai brought me back memories. I had that car when I was a teenager and it was a great little car. My Hyundai Elantra made it to 200,000 miles with no major problems, the maintenance was cheap and it was such a reliable little car, went to some great concerts in that thing.
All vehicles have to go through a drive cycle if the check engine light has been cleared recently. The car's computer tests all the emissions systems and if they clear, it's ready to get the test. This is to prevent people from clearing the light and immediately getting an emissions test. Doesn't work that way. If the computer detects some kind of problem, it'll throw a code again. Pretty sure this guy is lying about doing a drive cycle because in order to do one, you actually have to DRIVE IT. Either that or he needs repairs done and can't explain himself properly. Unless he can't afford repairs for some reason, he's likely lying.
Johnny, in Georgia, if your vehicle fails emissions, which you need passing approval, to get a tag, you can go to the tag office and they will issue a new tag sticker good for another month to fix the problem. Undoubtedly he never did that to give him extra time.
👍💯. Some people do not have common sense. Like you mentioned his vehicle has an expiration date on the registration. Matter of fact we all have an expiration date we do not know when it is. You explained everything to him perfectly. I hope he has enough common sense to remove the vehicle and drive it for the smog test. That would be your drive cycle as long as he has insurance and is on the way to a smog test the police should not have a problem and if they do it's a Fix-It ticket. A LOT EASIER THAN IT BEING TOWED... AS ALWAYS MAY GOD BLESS YOU YOUR FAMILY AND CO-WORKERS. PLEASE STAY SAFE.
That guy knew his time was up when he pulled the sticker off the truck. You could see he knew he wasn't being honest. Shame on him. You were patient with him. You'll probably be back for that truck again in the near future. Stay safe and God bless you and yours.
You have to actually DRIVE the vehicles to get the readiness monitors set so it will pass. I just went through this on my 2003 Suburban after a battery change. It took 3-4 days of driving it to get all the monitors to ready up. It's never going to pass emissions just sitting there, or having it towed here and there. 🤣
“She didn’t tell me there was a time limit”.. after a few weeks I’d be towing you too… that’s more than way more than enough time to do a Drive cycle and or get the plates renewed. Depending if your plates are renewed yearly or every 2 years.
I worked for emissions testing for 3-4 years. It doesn’t take 3 weeks to do a drive cycle. He’s not been driving it because he doesn’t want to get a ticket for expired tags. Here in Illinois, a person gets a grace period of 1 month to get the tag. He should purchase a temporary license plate tag & drive his damn truck.
Okay, I said to myself the 1st car was a "tweakers" car and then you said it about a 30 seconds later. Made me laugh, not sure why I came up with that word really. Thanks for the video.
As a Brit I am continually surprised by the number of American states that don't require front tags. Having front and rear plates cuts down fraud massively - backing up tight against a hedge, for example.
Hey, Johnny.. I believe I can request a tow video on that truck.. the owner thinks his grace period is forever.. I’d love to see when he’s absolutely speechless when you have it hooked and ready to tow it off the property.. Glad you made it out of the motel unscathed! Stay safe and God bless!!
This is a great channel, he really does treat people with respect, and does give them a chance and allows these people to get things from their car before he leaves, I love how he tells them the pay out is for the company not me and he had to give them a receipt much love and god bless
That guy thinks his excuses will always work it is a matter of time he will be towed and there won't be anymore free passes. He seems to think he can get favoritism and that isn't how business works. Keep up the great work Johnny
One thing I don't think that guy understands is the fact that you have to actually drive the vehicle to complete the drive cycle for the emissions test... It's not going to complete the drive cycle unless you drive the thing at least 50 miles. You may get pulled over for expired registration but the officer will not give you a ticket if you explain that's what you are doing! Hell get in it and lap 285 a couple times and you'll for sure be good to go then, seems like so many people just want to sit in the ditch and cry woe is me instead of pulling themselves up by whatever they can grab hold of and handling their business in whatever way it takes.
