That ole lady was putting herself in the path of a stroke or a heart attack over a beat up car that didn't run. You handled her properly and respectfully, Johnny. We expect nothing less and you always deliver. Professional, proper and polite - you were made to do this stressful work. I'm impressed. Well done, lad!
No. 294 didn't disappoint Johnny. It just proved you're king of de-escalation! That elderly lady could've suffered a stroke if only her son was more transparent on the status of his car and his intentions not to repair it!
I'm going to take a SWAG here (Swinging Wild A** Guess). The emphatic lady confronting Johnny and his coworker most likely has some degree of dementia affecting her. Unfortunately it is a part of every day life as we get older, our brains just don't function as well as they once did. It's nobody's fault, it is just something that happens to many people as we age. I worked in a nursing home for some time, it's sad the way our brains over a short period of time don't function on the levels they used to. Some memories become foggy or forgotten all together. Some things are retained with extreme clarity while other more recent thoughts or actions just cannot be recalled. There is a very good chance her son told her more than once about the car. Possibly at the time the only thing she remembered for sure was her it was her son's car and she didn't want it to be taken.
Your reversing skills always amaze me. You throw your truck around into some really awkward spaces and pull out vehicles without damaging anything around. You have great people skills too. I’m sure you have learnt these over many years. Keep on trucking Johnny. 🤗
Good video Johnny. Good difussion of the situation. Was afraid the elderly lady was going to go into a health crisis. Adult children need to keep their parents informed of certain info so they are in the loop. She probably gave him a talk in to when he got home for making her look bad & raising her BP. Stay safe.
Nicely done. You helped reassure that woman when that's what was needed. Nice editing on that last pick up and the music was spot on! Stay safe out there Johnny
Great job at keeping your cool with mom. Just goes to show that Johnny works with other tow truckers that believe in doing things the right way. Y’all stay safe out there!
At first I thought that lady was just being belligerent, but then realized she was just watching out for her child. Good job, Johnny, in handling the situation.
Yes Rhonda...she was looking out for her ADULT child who should have been responsible enough to tell her what was going on with his vehicle. It's understandable for parents like her to be fiercely protective of their child. However, when the child reaches adulthood the parent cannot and should not shield them from accountability and responsibility.
@@xyPERSON you clearly have bad hearing. The dude said on the phone he had another car so clearly he’s decently finically responsible. He also told her to go back inside to rest and relax she’s clearly sick and he’s taking care of her.
@@billwe5772 I actually did hear what he said over the phone about having another vehicle and I am quite aware he is taking care of his sick mother. My comment was referring to him not informing her about the vehicle that needed to be towed. Clearly she thought he only had that one vehicle for her to get so worked up when Johnny was about to tow it.
Thank you for the concern and care shown to the Mama Bear, she was indeed getting herself worked up over something her son should have been more straight about.
Poor momma was stressed out but thankfully her son calmed her down. So nice that both of you understood and helped her realise that her son knew and everything was ok. My Mum have been the exact same 🥰💐
I love the way you handled that lady, never stop what you are doing when the mad ladies are screaming when they park with no tags and she knew that, stickers all over that car. Keep up the work.
Goodness that momma got excited! So glad she was able to be calmed down. She was a good, protective momma. Always look forward to your videos. Keep up the good work. Stay safe and God bless you and yours.
You have such a gift for adding calm to chaos. That lady was so worked and trying to have her son's back ... Job well done (as always) Johnny. Stay safe my friend 🙏
I think that women was just overwhelmed with the car being towed she probably could not comprehend what you where telling her. Good job Johnny stay safe.
Greetings, love the show! As a resident of Idaho it is a huge difference with this business of towing vehicles for expired registration. I have never heard of an apartment caring about the status of your vehicle in any way, as long as it was parked properly and you didn't have more than your amount of vehicles allowed on property. Heck, even if you are stopped by law enforcement, its only a $65 or so ticket and you drive off. Sometimes they just give you a warning and tell ya to take care of it. Never heard of a car being towed for a registration offense, unless the plate itself was stolen or didn't belong on the car.
Good for you Johnny get out of that situation. The woman might have had a heart attack. She was a very protective mama. Love the videos. Keep on trucking..
Its crazy how extreme people go when their stuff is getting towed to their negligence. I talk with the tow guys at my apartment complex all the time, usually because they come around at night when I am walking my dog. They don't want the drama, just the easy tow and getting out of there.
I love how you interact with people and treat them with respect, Johnny. You're actually an example to everyone in this world. You have taught me a lot. I wish there were more people like you. Thanks for what you do.
Great tows! That son should've told his mother that he was letting his car go...she could've hurt herself by getting so upset. Time and time again it all boils down to communication. Be safe and God bless! 😊🙏🏻🌻❤️
When a person is belligerent, the only way to do was to leave. There was no talking sense into them. Their mind was dead-set on one thing and one thing only, “their car can’t be towed.” Thank you for explaining that you don’t “run” from people. That’s a sign of respect. Also, you still have the obligation to give the car owners info on where to pick up the car. Or give them a chance to pay it out. Though every situation is different, I wish that you will ALWAYS be able to come out of it unscathed! Stay safe and God bless, Johnny!!
The woman's son should have let his mother know that the car wasn't running and he had already gotten a replacement car. But then we wouldn't have had an exciting video! Another safe day in the books and may it always be so. Fun video Johnny, have a great week!
People have forgotten that communication is key to building any type of foundation. Even spur of the moment encounters require some degree of communication. Good on you Johnny, it's great to see you work.
💯 Thank you Johnny. You have Best towing content on UA-cam it is always 100% real by the book. Also you are a very kind and caring person. Maybe that person on the last vehicle that you showed coming out of the home very quickly and went the other way. Maybe had something to do with the last vehicle thay did not even approach you. That person just took off as fast as they could the opposite way.. as always GOD Bless you and your family and also your coworkers. PLEASE BE SAFE.

Good job as usual, Johnny. You're very good at calming down the wild ones who come out with 'guns blazing'. It works out better for all of those concerned. You always leave us wanting more!!!!!
Johnny you being you is why you have the following that you do. You stand your ground and handle your business I respect that about you. Mom was not listening to anything. There was no reasoning with her. So glad she got a hold of her son. Johnny, you did the only thing you could do at that moment. 👍🏻
Wow, that got hot quick. Her son was very calm about it which was nice and glad to see that everything worked out well. Great video bud and keep'em rollin'
You were pretty stealthy on that last yank...had that noisy cable and chains already in back before you started backing in. Glad nobody came running out. Even with your de-escallating skill, those have to be your favorite tows.
Johnny your an amazing person the way you talked to the mom was awesome she was having a cow about her son's car and by the end she understood what was going on thank you for being you stay safe and God bless
People who are aware of the rules of the apartment complex, shouldn’t get all worked up. Mama bear there was very concerned and upset about the situation. Hopefully she’s doing okay now
Love the dramatic music during the pick up of the 200 Chrysler and the close up of the person exiting the apartment. I’m ready for my close up Mr. Demil lol, funny stuff Johnny.👍🇨🇦
We Hook it, We Yank it, We Tow it, because it’s What we Do. Don’t be Confused, we’re Told what to Tow. We Don’t Pull a List of Vehicles to be Towed out of our Butts. 🤪

You're a good man Johnny and I trust your judgment. We shouldn't second guess you, we aren't there and we don't have the expertise you have to handle people. Stay safe!💙
We have a “fight or flight” response to stressful situations. Deciding which to take can be tricky. But, I’m happy she reached out to her son and he was so cool about it and that really calmed her down along with your calmness as well.
Your calmness and explaining to people makes them calm from nervous ones. Some people know that screaming can kill something / slow down towing because maybe you'll let go, but your calmness of the other person makes them calm down. Be healthy and safe.
As always, good work in the way that you handled that lady. You're right in that you don't run but remain and handle the situation because the next time you appear on the property they may very well try to seek revenge. Be safe!

“go back inside and rest.” Excellent advice!
Always good to end my Sunday night with a Towtrucker video- way to manage the situation Johnny!

Amazing how if a man does the same he's an "agressive thug" and when a woman does it she's "a protective momma" while what she did was uncalled for.
She's not protective. Her son is a friggin adult. She needs to mind her own business. If that was a guy everyone would have wanted him arrested.
