I know most, if not all, of Ken's songs are related to certain source material, but I still personally like to listen to four specific tracks as a story of love and loss.
Those four, in order, being: In the Zone -> Crazy Chicks -> Blue -> Black Lily
In The Zone and Crazy Chicks relating to being so obsessed with someone that you couldn't imagine life without them even if it's not necessarily healthy,
Blue being about losing that person and trying to cope with it,
and Black Lily beingrecovering from that loss and learning to live with the pain, while improving in the process.
Even if that's not how they were intended, it gives them just that extra bit of power to them in my mind.

This is the most beautiful and heart wrenching song ken has written. I think most people have been through something like this; Being rejected or looked over by someone you love, not just a mild crush, but someone you have a very strong bond with and can't imagine being with anyone else, in favor of someone else. 3:32 especially shows just how painful it can be.
Or maybe very few people actually go through this to most people I'm talking out of my ass. Either way this struck a major cord with me and I can honestly say that although this isn't the catchiest or most fun of your songs, this is without a shred of doubt the most beautiful song you have ever made Ken

Hey Ken. I just wanted to tell you that your music, this song in particular is helping me through a particularly tough time in my life. It's made me cry, it's made me angry, but it's also reminded me that I'm not alone.
It's difficult to watch the only person in the world that I've ever truly loved decide to walk through life with someone other than me. It has been difficult coming to terms with not being first in her heart and mind. I feel replaced, abandoned, pushed away... yet still loved all at the same time. I will always love her.
It's so hard to accept that I'm just her friend, sister, shoulder to cry on... but not her lover. I miss her, but mostly... I miss being loved by her.

Today, my cat had to be put down due to acute thrombosis, which had caused a blood clot to form in her heart. And when I heard the news, I didnt cry, not a single tear, and yet I felt I should have been sadder. And now that its the end of the day, with all my grieving, I came back here, and when I heard this song, I did, I shed tears. Music is a beautiful mover of emotions, and im more than glad that this song helped me feel like I wasnt some emotionless monster, a feeling that can just tear away at you at times, and I thank this song for really just, setting me free from my locked up emotions.

@@rayaronitwitchybrow I think you will understand it more if you have watched Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, a very good (or a masterpiece, for me) anime. It's a twelve series-long anime and have a movie sequel (Movie 3: Rebellion, the first two are recaps of the series but also remastered a lil bit). Also, it was announced around two years ago about its upcoming sequel (tba, no trailer yet.)

I've been your fan ever since I found out about you from 20% Cooler and looked into your music more. I'm so glad I did, because your music has always given me inspiration. For a few weeks I stopped listening, as I had already listened to every song too many times; but now I'm drawn back in with this amazing song.
This song is very representative of Ken's music in general. If this were a pop song marketed to the general public, it would end @ 3:30 or 3:33 (or a little later if you omit all vocals after 3:39). Ken absolutely knows this, but doesn't truncate it there, because he doesn't want to. He feels the representative best piece of art he made goes from 0:00 to 4:15. He has all the makings of a pop artist, but is also distinct in that he's okay with appealing to less people for the sake of the song.
That's neither inherently good nor bad, but it is pretty neat.
MarkYellingBird This song would have to be cut for radio edits if he did market it. I think he should definitely try to get a contract that allows him to record in a place where he has access to more resources, he could make a lot of money and spread a lot of positive vibes.
But its good he gets his stuff out there without advertisement or ulterior motive.
Even still, theres other songs that have outros and intros that have been on the radio as well, take M.A.A.D City by Kendrick Lamar or Father Take My Hands Pt.3 by Kanye, they've been played a lot with their outros but aesthetically we as an audience don't like songs to go for too long. To be honest I don't like the outro he did in this song either but it is subjectively his cleanest recording.

Hello everybody, I got the chords down.
It's a simple yet strangely comfortable song. I feel somewhat homey after listening to this song. I listened to it and decided to try and play it on the guitar.
So first you may want to put the capo on the 3rd fret. Do this since it matches the original song.
The chord progression goes like:
F - F - C - pause - Am - Am - G - pause
(Optional, you can replace the first second fret on the first string and move it upwards to second fret second string in the G chord. It sounds closer to the song)
The strumming pattern is pretty simple too, just pluck it once every chord progression I gave above.
And you can turn the pause into a simple hit.)
