Robert, if I remember correctly, Norwegian TV has a thing called "Slow TV", which shows things pretty much at the slow pace of real life. Your videos are refreshing because they're not frantic with fancy editing, etc. Very enjoyable! Your self-made music is the best!
Robert, I just found your channel, Excellent work! You did an excellent job of showing off my state! thank you! Next time your passing through Texas Ya gotta spend more time in the hill country!
Thank you for doing us proud in Texas! I am currently watching all of your travel videos and they are so comprehensive and beautiful. Listening to your dreamy deep voice is like listening to Antonio Banderas! Thank you again!
Wow, you captured the true essence of our diverse state! From the swamps on the TX/LA border, to the big cities of Houston and San Antonio! The gorgeous hill country, off the beaten path and on to the desert! Love your commentary, videos and everything! Thank you!
riding! riding in my rv. alright Robert. back on the road with you again. already done 100's of miles with you in your videos. never been across texas before. buen viaje amigo.
Awesome video as always. Its amazing driving along with you checking out the scenery and the different landmarks. The roads in the USA never cease to amaze me, so long and straight for kilometres on end and Texas is definitely no exception. Looks so beautiful and the commentary is informative and interesting. Seeing Mexico like that was just fantastic. Great video Robert, thank you.
Hi, Robert 👍🏻👊🏻 I just watched your awesome traveling adventure through Texas, I’ve only visited Dallas back in 2010 to do terrorist training before flying to Iraq as a DOD civilian it was amazing to see all the cities as you were driving along and the small town areas. I’m looking forward to seeing your next travel adventure. Thanks for sharing, enjoy and have a Great week !!!! Danny
I have never seen stars like that!!! The view of Mexico was amazing to see with both cities surrounded by the mountain views. I can't wait to see what's next!!!
Loved every bit of this! I miss traveling and I felt like I was on this trip. Such an epic shot of the star filled night, by the way. Thank you for visiting and appreciating the beauty of my home that is Texas!
Another great video! I really appreciate the time and effort that goes into making and editing them. As I've never been to the US before it's a great way of getting a taste of what's out there (I'm travelling to San Francisco, Monterey and Yosemite very soon though). Greeting from the UK! :)
there is a lot more than an aquarium in that area...like, the most beautiful place on earth...big sur...pt. lobos south to just north of tourist trap san simeon...
Great video that really shows some of the highlights of my state! I live in Houston and will be driving to CA this winter and enjoyed getting a peek into what I have to look forward to in my drive. The drone views were awesome!
I have never traveled in my but I’m finally am from El Paso to Dallas , I’m excited in this video motivated me to get out and explore , my family say yes u should but we’ll see
For some reason this video is very relaxing but you cover a lot of miles lol. Didn't feel rushed at all, just enjoying the trip....Great job and be careful out there.
Great video. In 1976 I drove through Texas on my way to L.A.. We kept seeing billboards that advertised if you could eat this entire steak at this restaurant it would be free. A 72 ounce steak, what cut I don't remember. My friend and I had been hungry for hours and decided to take the challenge at that steakhouse. We were both of normal weight but we're famished. The steak arrives and its on a platter the size of a small surfboard. My friend and I start inhaling the huge steak. Neither of us could finish it and it just goes to show, everything is bigger in Texas! Another memory you sparked, Robert.
I've always wanted to go to that part of Texas. And now with your video I feel like I almost did. I had no idea El Paso was so close to Mexico. Also that you can stay in those rest areas. We usually go further north to the west and most say no overnight stays. Nice video, good information, and thanks for sharing.
The one thing Marfa is really know for was that is where “Giant” the huge epic movie was made.. with Elizabeth Taylor, James Dean, Rock Hudson. They all stayed at hotel “Paisano”. It’s beautiful inside with many memorials to that great movie. Many great movies were made in that area! (No country for old men was just one more with Tommy lee Jones) must be dozens made there! You also missed “Terlingua” The biggest 🌶 chili cookoff of all.. It’s beautiful..
Hi sir robert, accidentally seen ur videos, and it's great to follow, so informative and likely im in ur travel too, thank u, keep it up and more power
Very nice! I also have a Colorado and I make that drive from Houston to the exit at 7:39 next to that old raceway all of the time. My family's ranch is about 35 minutes west of that exit on SH 41.
hey I love your videos, it makes me dream, I disconnect from Europe and you make me live your adventures. it would be nice to make a play list, like that, whoever wants to follow your adventures from the 1st video to the last, it will be easy. good continuation Mr Robert.
I thoroughly enjoy your travel videos. In this one, it was absolutely grand to see the "Hill Country" of East Texas fade away into the Texas might of Edna Ferber's "Giant".
Hi Robert thanks for the beautifuel pictures, I´m from Germany but i lived over one year in Oklahoma and also in Texas El Paso it was my most beautifuel time in my life I remember every second in this most amazing country. God bless Amerika and all people who live there.
Both times I have gone to Marfa, I have seen the lights. And honestly, if you are heading off after stopping to see them, you can still see them from other angles since you know what they look like. I live in San Antonio. This was a great video of the Great State of Texas!
I remember going to Texas as a kid and the only thing I can remember is going by to see the mansion from the opening credits of Dallas the TV show although I know we did much more. Can’t wait to get the family out that way! Great video! Safe travels...
Hello Robert, I was anxious fot your video, you are really a artist, it is getting better and better, I just can imagine all the work behind it. Thank you for sharing it, great trip, looking forward for many more. A big hug my friend.
Robert that was a excellent video. That was a real RV adventure which is what I am always looking for. I subscribe to Nomadic Fanatic, keep your daydream, long long honeymoon and etc but your video showed much more of the actual RV adventure and not spending 15 minutes at a winery on the way? I enjoyed this very much, can't wait for the rest of your adventure.
Yeah, that one tire... I've been told it is a misaligned axle, but haven't found anybody who will fix it.... so for now I bough two extra tires just in case.
Hello Robert! I wish I had a five dollar bill for every trip I made from my hometown of Houston, Texas to Los Angeles for the 38 years I sat behind the windshield of an 18 wheeler! The most boring part of the trip between Houston and El Paso, to ME, was the stretch between San Antonio and Junction. Once I got passed there all the stress seemed to just flow off of my shoulders!...and, when I saw the New Mexico state line I was almost jumping up and down in my seat! I will be full timing soon in a new Roadtrek 190, and, I hope to run into you somewhere out there in this beautiful country! It will be so nice the second time around, for, I will have no schedules, no bosses, no weigh stations to deal with, no load securement problems, etc!...just me, the wind, and open highway! Thanks for the trip back down memory lane, as, I retired in 2015 and have missed it tremendously! I must now go and watch your video about New Mexico and Arizona....Vaya con Dios! (3/13/2018 6:15am CST)
I'm glad you liked it. To me the worst was between Houston and San Antonio... but then again being from Florida, I get excited when I see hills, so San Antonio to Junction wasn't so bad. Thank you! See you on the road.
We stayed at the Marfa viewing area last September and parked in the same spot you did. We were the only RV that spent the night. I think I heard every train that passed by during the night.
You did see the lights Dawn. I saw it too and to make sure I googled Marfa Lights then clicked 'view all' and scrolled down to the one we saw in the video.
Robert, nice video but one minor problem: at 25:20, yep, that's a wall but not 'the wall' separating El Paso from Cd. Juarez. It's part of a new highway (Border West Expressway) connecting the west side to loop 375. In some areas we have a very tall fence and in others it's just a chain link fence but no wall. Glad you had a chance to explore downtown and especially Chihuahuita while it still exists. There are plans to raze it and replace it with some type of multi purpose arena. Safe travels!
Thank you for the amazing videos. I'm brazilian and I enjoy them a lot. With the videos I discover News places in USA and also I trainning my poor english. You speak very slowly and clearly. Congratulations.
Beautiful, beautiful wives of Texas...but lm going wait till summer to visit my family there..love your back ground music..glad i recently subscribed...

I have been to Dallas TX stayed the night in The Texan Hotel and catched a Amtrak train we driven through the same landmarks in the video like the Marfa Lights Viewing Area and Van Horn TX and El Paso TX and this was during the Coronavirus Pandemic

Thank you. Yes, next time I have to spend a lot more time in Texas
Traveling Robert sounds like Fernando from the radio shows in Grand Theft Auto.
Was about to say the same! Hill Country is simply amazing, we love it here.
That's probably the most artistic way of showing Texas. Great!
Thanks!
This video is so serene! The chromatic sunsets and sunrises are amazing
Texas born and raised in the lone star state
By the way...very beautiful opening music,,it’s very catchy...I find myself signing it while driving around....lol
Thank you for doing us proud in Texas! I am currently watching all of your travel videos and they are so comprehensive and beautiful. Listening to your dreamy deep voice is like listening to Antonio Banderas! Thank you again!

the 1st thing that'll strike you mate when u visit America from UK is the vastness. It would seem everything here is so big.
Welcome to Texas!
You missed Fort Stockton,Texas!! That's where I live, eat at Mandos cafe in Marfa it's really good Mexican food...🌼🌹🌼
I'll check it out next time.... I was in Marfa too early in the morning

Unfortunately, we hear stories about gunshots from Ciudad Juarez landing in El Paso from time to time. Juarez is a high crime area.
Glad you liked it. I find border towns fascinating

Thanks Robert for this series "The American Wild West" I really appreciate it. Thank you from Quebec Canada
You're welcome. I love the west
Hey Robert, that was DEFINITELY some kind of UFO you caught at about 16:40 into the filming! Very cool!
At the beginning I thought it was a plane but yes, definitely not plane like movement.
Thanks a lot for the video Robert! You clearly really enjoyed El Paso! This made me really eager to visit Texas one day!

Yes, the trains are kind of annoying, but hey, can't beat free. Maybe the area is less popular in September
Property taxes are cheaper in AZ. Or I would move back to El Paso. Lived there from 63 to 1992. Mexican food and the people are the best.💕💕

Hello my friend, haven't yet decided on a RV purchase just yet. So much to consider; tow vs. drivable. Advantage/disadvantage of each. Either way, love your videos my brother. Shalom...brian
Very informative. I thought El Paso would be more attractive for some reason. Thanks for sharing!
I'm sure there are more attractive areas, I just didn't allocate enough time to explore
