8200 to 8290 CODAR . Ocean current and ocean waves mapping and profiling. University Of Florida once operated a CODAR at Cedar Key FL. Other universities still do.
Hey man! I would have to agree with ya on the fav bands! I like 8000 to 9000kHz as well, for the same reasons as you. And second (because it is so hard to pick just one!) would be I'd have to go out on a limb and say 11000 to 13000kHz, because that stretch is chock full of good stuff, aeronautical and whatnot, USAF EAMs like on 8992, etc. Honestly, I just tell people of all the spectrum we monitor and use, HF would be my TOP pick! 😎
Also, do you ever find anything decent below say, 4000kHz? I dunno if it's my setup or what, but I don't get much other than tons of RFI at my location. 😐
Not really. I have heard a couple of stations, amateurs. I caught a Canadian maritime weather broadcast once while at my son's soccer practice. I made a video on it on this channel.

Yep that was CODAR made a day trip to a CODAR site last year in Pinellas County. It is operated by USF too. I made a video of it on this channel.
Starke's Ranch/ Park. I used to enjoy visiting RANCH before the govt got the property. It was a nice place. 1975 ish to 1980 ish.
Lots of construction these days.

Yes 11000 to 13000 is also good, lots of stuff there.

@@SWLSignals23-hp6vp Yeah, I catch WWV on 2500 and CHU on 3330 once in a while, that's about it lol.
Please down mix to Mono before posting . The stereo phasing make intelligibility hard
Thanks for the tip. I'll have to figure out how that is done.
