Wow that was cool! California sheephead is a wrasse so I think it would be more comparable in taste to tautog or tilefish found along the Atlantic coast. Eastern sheepshead are porgy... Fine work sir!
Thanks! I know it was pretty cool to see how effective the knocker rig was over on the West Coast. Thanks for watching dude, hope you've been getting out and fishing this spring!
Cant wait to see if you think they really taste like lobster! Amazing the difference between the sheepshead and very interesting species! Have a great time!!😁👍
I can tell you right now they tasted VERY much like spiny lobster and similar shellfish. I'm ashamed to admit that it tasted much better than our East Coast sheepshead...
Christian! That's some cool-looking Sheepshead. Do they grow as large as your Charleton's best PB? How about a taste comparison? Are they similar, as good, or better? Let us know! Thanks for the video!
Hey Clint! They actually grow much bigger than our sheepshead on the east coast. The record is over 30 lbs and they're estimated to get bigger... as for taste it was hard to admit but they definitely taste better. I didn't make a catch and cook because I had to get back to the real point of the weekend which was my brother's bachelor party! Haha
Great fishing with you again bro! Juat say when and well go get a white sea bass or yellowtail 🤘🤘🤘
I'd love to my man! I'll keep an eye on flight prices haha

Man that looked fun. Them sheep teeth look alittle more knarly than ours! Lol
Haha definitely a little crazier than ours! They also hammer the baits. No nibbles with them!
Man didn't get notified on this one those beautiful fish would love to catch one great catch man
Another great trip to the west coast. Good for you!
Thanks Keith! It was a great time for sure
I’m dying to try those! I have no sheepshead in my area and it’s hard to get to an area without a wheelchair at this point
Man, dude them fish, kinda look like male peacock bass only different color and gnarly teeth. Awesome video bro.

This is different from our "Sheepshead" in the East Coast! LOL
No kidding! Really cool and unique fish
