- Hey all! In this video we go over how to set up and get started with Exagear, the Windows emulator on Android. Please note that this is just tutorial is just to get you started, as Exagear will potentially require fine tuning for your own specific needs. Use this emulator at your own risk as the required files have a chance of being unsafe / containing malware. In this video I set up MUGEN on Android.

You can use an app called gamekeyboard: it's not in playstore dawnload it from google or youtube,the app is to play mugen on exagear with touch screen all you have to do is configure the gamekeyboard buttons to the mugen p1 button you can get that from the mugen controlls setting after gamekeyboard is running go to custom and test to edit the buttons

ExaGear mods are a rabbit hole of its own lol. But it is a neat emulator if you can configure it correctly. I was most impressed by it for letting me play Shockwave games on my phone! The only thing is that it seems to have trouble with for me (other than modern games of course) are some early 9x era games (such as Lego Island), but thankfully Limbo PC emulator exists for those weird cases. Neat stuff!
Is it worth the hassle? I have been looking for software that will let me open swf files straight in android. 2 times everyone said it is no longer supported and I managed to find a way to make them work properly as if nothing happened. But now I'm stuck. swf files stopped working for the third time for me like year ago and nobody has been taking up the torch. All flash apps are broken and appear to be abandoned.
EDIT: Nevermind - I just checked again and WebGenie SWF Player is working with a new engine. They have it working again. SWF files native on Android!

I set this up two years ago on my S20+ to play Diablo 2, before D2 Resurrected was announced. It functioned without any issues. The only problem I did have was mapping/converting button and mouse inputs to controller. I didn't want to play with mouse and keyboard (which works flawlessly btw) but I couldn't find a viable alternative input solution that was user friendly.
That said, it's pretty neat to have set up, and great for revisiting classic titles.
@Jarhead Same here. I never did try to get bnet setup, but it might be possible. I'm not sure what you would need to do, but one thing I do know works is transfering your save file from PC.
I like this app. I use it just to play SoR Remake. It runs nicely.

This would only be useful if we could run PC games, but windows office from 2007 with no monthly subscription on an Android would be nice as well.

This is too hard solution, i am looking forward to android 13. That version will support virtualisation, so it will can run arm version of the real Windows 11 with near native performance, and Windows 11 running a great x86 emulator works surprisingly good in games.

Heck, I used this to patch a translation file for Ace combat 3 jp ver. It was successfully executed. Thats the only time i needed exagear

Already been using it im no expert but i managed to make starcraft brood war,pizza frenzy, feeding frenzy,dinner dash, insaniquarium,red alert 2 Yuri's revenge,trade winds 2,trade winds legends,warcraft 2 and age of empires 2 conquerer work trough trial and error plus youtube tutorials
And rts is the only controller i used in all of these games but feeding frenzy is quite difficult since you need to move the mouse to play it

Weirdest emulator out there still configuring out no luck yet. Games run fine (after hours of trial and error) but can't get the controls right nothing seems to work. I might give up on this emul from hell

Other than that, ExaGear looks like nothing more but a fancy Wine x86 loader for ARM based devices.
I remember hearing about it on Raspberry Pi themed channels but obviously, barely anyone bought it or tested it on video.
Obviously it'd be even better if Windows on Android became more of a thing but this is still good enough for a first.

For me, to install ExaGear is just for two or few more things like 'to use Microsoft Office 2003 or 2007' and to play RPG games like 'Sanitarium'. Both don't require much, however I haven't tried anything till now, so I can't be quite sure. I'm afraid of trying it, since I'm wondering what if I do something and that harm my Android system. Is it really dangerous?

I guess the file are error whenever you try to download.
for me exagear is file manager and tools the problem is no exagear APK that apks which completed to files already to install directly to mobile device and start doing some projects.
No gpu acceleration, it's a dealbreaker

Exagear doesn't work on android just tried installing it and it said it couldn't find image whatever that means i don't know
it dosen't work for me. I installed it from AVN and when I open it it says "Failed to find exagear image. Try to reinstall the application" and it crashes even though I have wine and pulse audio and wine won't open either for some reason.
When I choose to run the container it goes back to the desktop "empty" page.

Maojority of games I want to play have official or unofficila ports for android or you can run ps1 , N64 or ps2 versions via better optimized emulators .

The Exagear discord is confusing as heck with 100's of different versions and subtopics. How do we get to the page you showed in the video? It's also not clear what files are posted by developers and what files are posted by randos on the discord. Cannot find it for the life of me
