"Missing You, Namine" is a symphonic medley of an underappreciated character theme in the Kingdom Hearts story with the melancholy theme from the player's interactions with said character.
Originally, the idea to combine these two tracks grew from the title of the official Kingdom Hearts Piano Collections track under the same name, but the way these themes have been put together with an expanded instrumentation for DARKNESS more readily serves to highlight the tragedy of Namine's abuse by the Organization during the events of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.

In celebration of KINGDOM HEARTS and the stunning melodies of Yoko Shimomura, Utada Hikaru, Takeharu Ishimoto, and Tsuyoshi Sekito, we present Project Destati’s second volume.
DARKNESS is the highly-anticipated follow-up album to Project Destati’s 2014 Billboard-charting soundtrack album “LIGHT.” The album is a musical amalgamation of fan-favorite themes from the KINGDOM HEARTS series, re-assembled in an all-new fashion like long-forgotten memories.
Featuring a live string orchestra and industry-leading soloists, DARKNESS is a dark, grand, and mysterious musical experience that aims to capture Tetsuya Nomura’s own imagination.

She’s my favorite charcter of the series. All her actions since she met Sora or maybe Axel were driven by pure kindness. Her theme is so hearthwarming.

I don't think kindness is the right word for it. Guilt for what she did previously fits it a bit more accurately, and that makes it so much sadder.
Ulcar that’s why I said since she met Sora. Axel let her act to stop her own malipulation and when she meets Sora she starts acting in order to fix the damage she caused. As a comment below says, guilt is a more accurate word to describe it.
Shawn Javery yeah, guilt is a more accurate word. If you think about it, she started acting under Marluxia’s orders because he probably promised her she would get a heart. It just makes me feel so bad to think how she must’ve felt during that time. Oh wait, a nobody cannot feel anything...

Love listening to songs i know. This is a song i know, but project destati takes that known song and makes it a new song. Its kind of like a fuzzy memory of a good time
This version of "Missing You" really made me cry but it also gave me so much hope.
When I was little, I always wanted to name my own daughter Naminé. Thank you Project Destati for making me want that even more now.
Ian Comtois Naminé's name is translated to "sound of the wave" in Japanese, since the character 音 (oto) can be pronounced as "ne". Alternatively, her name can mean "born from the wave", because of the French "né" at the end of her name ("né" is the past participle of the verb "naître", which means "to be born"). However, this may have just been added in the English releases to ensure that her name was pronounced the same way it was intended in the Japanese original.
Tyene1218 91701 'Sound of the Wave' would make sense since she is Kairi's nobody and her name means 'Ocean'. Just like Aqua's name means 'Water', another character who parallels Kairi in the position in there friend group and such.
Whatever the case or meaning, I've always loved Namine's name and theme and I've thought the same if I had a daughter too :)

Just reconfirming, Namine is a beautiful name. Very poetic, because anyone can be a wave and there are several kinds of such. Being "the sound of an ocean wave" instead of a mere "sound wave" sounds powerful to me. You calm the ears and minds of many others even if they didn't get to understand what you truly came from. That's why I love her character and theme, that same ocean wave will never return but you sure loved it when you heard (about) it. If your daughter does get named this, she should never be taken for granted!!

Project Destati you have created another master piece this song conveys so many emotions like speaking to someone you have met but you can't remember and memories that can't resurface no matter how hard you try to grasp them.... but that's just what I think.
