- Erik Satie Gnossienne 4 performed by Steinway Artist Alessio Nanni, piano, Italy.
Gnossienne nr.4 by Satie, one of the most mysterious composition by the genius of Erik Satie, dated 1891.
Satie's coining of the word "gnossienne" was one of the rare occasions when a composer used a new term to indicate a new "type" of composition. The word appears to be derived from "gnosis"; Satie was involved in gnostic sects and movements at the time that he began to compose the Gnossiennes.[citation needed] However, some published versions claim[citation needed] that the word derives from Cretan "knossos" or "gnossus" and link the Gnossiennes no 4 to Theseus, Ariadne and the Minotaur myth.
Studio recording at ©WHITE NOISE FACTORY.
Piano: Steinway & Sons, 'Klingsor'.

Yes, same for me. I can’t find a recording on UA-cam of you playing Gnoissiennes no. 2? I haven’t looked on other music apps; you’re definitely worth buying!! If there is, could you provide a link? Thanks!
Très belle interprétation. Pure. Nuancée, avec l'arrière- plan légèrement embué de spleen. Sans fleur. Bravo
Magnifique interprétation de cette pièce originale. Je suis un fan de Satie et vous le jouez admirablement bien. Merci

because he is playing annoyingly beautiful :) maybe those people who thinks never can play like him, and want to say “we are here”. this may sounds awkward but also may be meaningful instead of leaving a like. 😅

Восхищение!!!
My favourite piece by my favourite composer at my favourite tempo. Perfect.
Mysteries of soul are deep and haunting.
That opening arpeggio entered my dream(I left the radio on...) in 1998 prompting the vision of a boat rising and falling in gentle swells. then I was in the boat approaching a shore. I decided it was time to travel again.
I have decided to play this on my last day, I'm sorry.
Музыка для души! Великолепное исполнение!
you create a dream state of tranquility.💓💓
I'm trying to learn this piece right now and this is truly an inspiration.

Your a great pianist!
Regards from Barcelona!
To my brother, the times of sorrow affected me until I'm at a loss.
Such strange harmonic jumps in this piece.. especially the last chord
no words
Every key he touches, informs
Too fond of you, yet only seeing your hands.
so ... oh.. nevermind. 😊
You are just a gift to our ears.
Alessio, Since you are here. So many questions I have. How many years have you played? who taught you? how do you fingers just caress the keys? do you have a photogenic memory? what is your temperament when you play? are you immersed? carried away in your soul & mind?
You dont have to reply. These are just my many thoughts & questions about your talent. 😊
Un amore
Are there any high quality audio recordings available for your Gnossienne performances? I've grabbed the audio from youtube, but I crave the studio recording...
Whenever I play this I try to imagine it is the beautiful piece of music from some extra-terrestial civilization
Such an elegant and nuanced performance!
Mr Nanni, could you please tell me your left hand fingering for the first three bars? I'm an amateur. Your left hand moves so smoothly over one and a half octaves.
I fucking Love this
I know ... crazy that it doesn't have more views and likes. It's stunning in its beauty.
as I observe your fingers,
it is as if the notes are dropping from your fingertips.♀️🎼🎹
🥰
Есть у этой мелодии переплетения с Лунной сонатой Бетховена. Красиво...
Скорее с фантазией ре минор Моцарта
Lunch with Alessio
YOURE VERSON IS A LITTLE FASTER THAN SOME IVE HEARD BUT I THINK THIS TUNE CAN BE PLAYED EITHER WAY AND I DO LIKE HOW YOU PLAY THIS. MY VERSION MAY NEED SOME MORE PRACTISE YET.
Is it possible to buy an audio file of this version somewhere ? Thanks. :)
convert into mp3 is your solution
caressing the keys, delicious
😌
A request please... Gnossienne No. 5 if you would... or perhaps I've missed it?
l'infinité dans son Mystère
I love you mom
Hello, I was working on this mysterious piece today, once more. I notice you use your left hand separting the flow of the notes by breaking up as broken chords... (How do explain? a novice here). I perhaps need to use the left hand as you do instead of flowing across those keys. I'll try it your way next time. Toodles😊
Good eye. The left hand is a flow that requires a very steady and free from tension movement. That's a necessary thing to achieve the color needed in my opinion in order to render the peaceful yet mysterious mood of the piece. After trying many solutions I found that breaking the left arpeggio in two sections was the most efficient in terms of control over the tone of the left hand. But it's up to you really.
Good morning! Your comment is deeply appreciated and your compliment re: good eye.
I'm so glad you understood my poor description of the left hand... Arpeggio. Having only childhood training ... I've just continued playing songs I liked and as I've aged taken to classical. I have left you a message on your new site, under your RACHMANIOFF video. Excellent execution. The turn of the wrist - captivating.
again, a heartfelt
Thank You for your time 😌
This is so bad
