I wish someone would make a case like this without space for a graphics card and with an external power brick. I would love to build my own mini-ITX router but all the cases are too big.
@@athmaid Nope, he definitely used the notched dimm, you can clearly see the upper corner of the gpu crossing over where that part of the ram stick should be. I mean, if there's no pcb traces running through there, that's free extra space for the build! Worth!!! This guy's for sure a nutcase though lol.

Ive watched this video countless times since its dropped and its really making me want to do this build. Ive currently got a dan a4 and Ive been drooling over the velka 3 forever but i didn't think it was small enough to justify also switching my power supply and graphics card but this changes things for sure.
This is super cool. I'd love something like this but my performance requirements are far greater than something like this would allow (Threadripper 7060X + 256GB of RAM + RTX 4090. I do VFX and video editing in addition to gaming, but I'd love to just be able to toss my PC into my backpack and go to a friend's place)
One of my favourite materials is HIPS. Yes it will poison you, so consider leaving the room during print and then airing well afterwards, BUT it can be printed beautifully on an open frame printer. There's very little warping, matte surface, long term endurance, shock and repeat stress resistant, low creep, and over 90°C temperature resistance. The melt is quite compliant and obeys retraction and pressure quite well, unlike say PETG. The poison bit is styrene monomer, but there's an order of magnitude less of it emitted than from ABS. It's also very cheap. I don't know why it's treated as a joke by everyone. I think the real joke is ABS. Worst material ever, i wish it fell off a cliff and was never found again. PLA is also a bit of a joke because all the prints i have had 2-4 years later if they have any sort of usefulness they start showing crazing around pressure spots, yellow discolouration and just crumbling, when it used to be super strong at first right out of the printer, impressively strong. At least PLA is very easy to make pretty prints with, very well behaved melt.
what is the next step in making it smaller? crazy idea, maybe integrating all components in the case like those chinese designers did with the GPU shroud.
Hey this is really awesome! Whenever I see a 3d printed case I think about the 4TF -- such a cool design and the customization options are infinite. I'd love to see it with anodized aluminum or brass. I'm a bit confused about the plastic screws being metal cores. I'm not sure what you meant and it would be nice if you may clarify that for me, but no worries if you are busy! Best of luck with the next skyreach 4 tiny run!
Thanks for the kind words! What I meant about the screws--they are long. They go deep into the support beams. So they reinforce the support beams and make everything very rigid. For the 4TF video people asked why I didn't use brass nutserts there, but they are not the right tool for the job. Those can only hold 5 or 6mm of plastic, whereas these are holding 40mm of plastic. Since they dont need to be unscrewed once assembled, they are the right tool for the job. Hope this makes sense.

@@dl5185 The Patreon files do better than meshes, they are solid body STEP files. So you can easily mod them in a CAD program of your choice. I use F360 which is free to makers with some limits that won't really apply to resizing the project.

I'm sure there are scenarios where the 4060LP is faster. But I've done several builds now with each and have benchmarks up with many games and utilities and the A4000 bests them. Why that is, I don't know. Maybe the 4060LP isn't as fast as the desktop version? Either way, for gaming, its close. For professional work, including my work, the A4000 is much faster. Even my shunt modded A2000 12GB can beat the 4060LP in many apps. Thank you for your comments!
I haven't made it yet, but it's a APU build with 3D printed braces that you can put feet on and turn the system upside down to run bigger fans in the S4T. I call it the S4T-D.
100% depends. Usually it hurts and gives worse results...but sometimes you have to go so small that heatsink won't fit in their usual place, and that is the true power of liquid cooling.
I'm glad you think this is stylish! But no, it's not a NUC. It is a case designed for off the shelf PC components (STX, ITX) so you can have a PC many times the power of a NUC. You can put a 7950X in this thing if you wanted, and being that it has video output, it's a choice many of my customers have made.
Big fan of your work. Love the passion and ambition. You or others might can answer this. I want to buy a CNC router or Laser cutter/engraver. I don't care about making a lot of money with them but I want to make my money back on them. I eventually want both. I was looking at getting crealitys newer 40w laser with the full enclosure first. Then for the CNC router I was looking at some of onefinitys options.
I have different styles for different levels of expertise. The cases from this video are fairly simple to make but require very basic CAD skills if you want to edit anything. If you need help with them I can make these cases for you if you contact me. Peace.

Great looking cases but this video watches like 9:22 of advertisements 👎 trying to skip you talking up your 3D printer only to find I'm at the end of the video and didn't end up seeing how you assembled the components, the layout, the specs, thermal performance, anything.

Why not print in PETG? PLA has a glass temp of 60C, at and after which it begins to soften and deform.

the a4000 is not stronger than the 4060* its even 6% slower than my 3060ti, the 20gb version just has more memory
