This still does not tell me how to know if OEM is a Chinese knockoff just claiming to be an OEM. Anyone on eBay can claim a part is say Bosch...but is it really? I found the same problem with NGK plugs being knockoff all over the place on eBay.

Many moons ago when I was in auto class there was a story of Chinese knock off Acdelco brake pads being found by customs. We all know there are knock offs out there, be careful who you buy from. Someone with no sales or a new acct are a turn off for me. I try to stick to the higher volume sellers.

Yep. I get both off ebay too. Been buying a new to me phone every other year for over 6 years. Not one problem yet... jinx.

Go with your gut. If you can't find a reliable seller then don't buy from there. Have you tried RockAuto?

Have you ever run across the copycat parts online? I’ve heard of certain motor craft branded parts that weren’t true motor craft.

But, I've never personally ran into fakes. I think k they are out there and I buy with that in my head.
