I was almost sold on this set, but after seeing your video, I don't think it is worth the $75ish just for postcards when I already own the movie itself on 4K. If it included a booklet and poster I would have gone for it.
No book or poster holds it back for me. I like the simple black rigid case and the slip case, not keen on the velcro though. All in all id give it 7/10.
Agreed, if they’d included the older steelbook in here that fit into that slip it’d be great. I don’t get how Arrow video seems to be able to buy the rights, fund a restoration and give you a rigid slipcase with a poster and booklet for $45 and this thing costs what it does and is significantly less impressive.
Hello, can you tell me by reading the blu-ray if it contains French subtitles? Because the information on the J-card is sometimes incomplete for the subtitles. Thank you
I like the first three movies he made as i personally think the crime genre he done best personally. The other movies are good but have no interest in owning them
Lazy not to have any new special features. (I don't think we've had anything new on that score since the DVD days). Time for a boutique label to do it right.
Love the movie but it looks like another example of a somewhat lazy rerelease packed with posters, cards and other ephemera that doesn’t really justify another buy, I’ve still got the original steelbook from years ago which is perfectly fine so I can just pick up the basic 4K as and if it drops in price and swap it over should I desire. Shame, as it’s a superb film that deserves more care but is just saddled with all the sane “legacy” extras instead of anything remotely fresh. In an age where so many boutique companies release incredible new releases find older cult films it’s sad to see the big studios still not bothering a great deal with their back catalogue. Same is true about the upcoming Se7en with a frankly ugly looking Steelbook and no new extras … now that’s a bloody sin!
The original UK home video was reframed so it didn't show Vincent shooting up. This bit of censorship was waived years ago. The UK release is the uncut theatrical version.
@@condo0073 When the movie was first released, the UK version originally didn't show the needle going into Vincent's arm when he was shooting up. However, the 2011 blu-ray was completely uncut so this version shouldn't be cut either, making purchasing from the US unnecessary.

Yeah. I was a bit disappointed if I’m being honest.
For a movie like Pulp Fiction. I expected more.
@@4kCollectivE I would love every Tarantino movie to get the Arrow Video treatment like what Inglorious Basterds is getting.
I came to the exact same conclusion after watching. Thanks for the vid, helped me make a more informed decision 👍
Yeah. A little bit of an anti climax if honest. Agreed, a poster would have made a difference
30th Anniversary let’s shaft the fans edition! 😂
I have to agree, it’s a steep price for what you get over the standard release.
Appreciate the video!
Very nice edition, thanks for the review 👍
I paid $60 US. Definitely lite on specialness for the price, but I only bought it for posterity, not even to open.
No book or poster holds it back for me. I like the simple black rigid case and the slip case, not keen on the velcro though. All in all id give it 7/10.
If you ever wondered what was in the briefcase?
It was the Oscar it should've won for best picture!
Great vid. One of my favourite movies. But this edition I may send back. For price tag. Needs a steelbook

Is it available in HMV??
Lazy release, mines being delivered today its going straight back. I have the steelbook already
Good set and great film but should have had a poster and maybe a booklet in it as well.

Last years steelbook tops it
Might get it soon the 4K looks amazing here in Australia we are getting the same version
Glad i cancellled this edition, would of much preferred a matte finish on the outer box with the comic art instead. thanks for the video.
Very nice ! Who needs a Steelbook when you got this ?

Hi
I'd ask it a next unboxing video is a Bela Tarr Curzon Collection ? :)
Thank you so much :D

Nice set , can’t justify the high price tag.
So cancelled mine
Not worth the money! Pass on that
Lazy edition by paramount not impressed with it all your paying for is postcards and cardboard but excellent review
Does this version have Traditional Chinese subtitles?

Why do they think we want all these bloody postcards!! So boring. Its all basically just a load of cardboard!! Rip off.
It’s really too bad you guys have those ugly age warnings all over your movies. It makes everything look just awful.
Mines coming next week but got mine from the states as it’s uncut from the US
Uncut?
@@condo0073 Its been released in the UK uncut since 2011 so dont worry
