Thank you for this course. My company offers the program, but when i went through it i felt like i was just power watching the videos. The reinforcement helps me to absorb so much more
Thank you for the great content! I have watched all the videos and they have all been very helpful. Look forward to more content. I am having an issue with acquiring my PDI. I followed every step you presented in this video, but my UI looks different from yours. Your banner says, "ServiceNow Service Management." Mine says "Now App Engine Studio." I don't have the Content Nagivator at all. The main page is asking me to create app. Do you know if ServiceNow has changed this or if I have done something wrong? Thank you again!
Hey Ben. Thanks for the feedback! They went and changed the UI on me (ugh), which makes it tough when you trying to help people learn via videos. Check and see if you have a menu item named “All”. If so, click that and you should see the app navigator which will look familiar. If not, hit me back and I’ll try and help.

@@ServiceNowSimple thanks for the video Jeff. I got an instance set up, but I'm not getting the same menu. I do see an All filter, but this looks different from what you showed in your video. I've got the role set to Admin. Sounds like the menu was changed?
Hi Jeff, your videos are really insightful. I see that your website is under construction. Is there any other way to get to the additional training material? I would really like to have it as I am doing my certification in August this year.
Yep! Check the site today. I think I have most of it out there now. It’s a bit clunky, but you should be able to find the video title, click to open the post, and find the resources for download. I’ll keep working on making this all more friendly. Thanks!
Hi Jeff, thank you so much for the instructional video. I have followed all the steps and have gotten to my developer instance but Im getting a different UI. Mine looks so different from how yours looks. Do I need to do any type of configuration?
Hi Jeff, very nicely made videos, very easy to grasp things till now. I have just created my developer instance in Jan 2024 and it seems your videos are 1-2 years old. I am seeing a difference in the UI, so will these videos still be relevant in Jan 2024?
Hey Thereza, that's certainly my plan. I do all of this on the side of my 'real' job, and haven't gotten as far along as I'd hoped. I'm working on the Knowledge Management fundamentals vid now and will just keep going as quickly as I can. Let me know if you're looking for anything specific and I'll see if I can help in some way. Congrats on going for your CSA, btw. It will all be work it in the end!
I am trying set up a developer instance for the ticketing system for GRC module training. It keeps giving me the app builder interface. How do I get to the ticketing instance?
I think that App Builder thing is the default homepage when you first get your instance. See if there is an All menu up top that should open the Application Navigator. Let me know if your still having trouble.
Hey Venkata, I think you should be able to get a PDI now, but it may need to be for the prior version. I'll poke around and see if I can get the root cause for the limitation.
You can think of an instance is a full-stack deployment of the ServiceNow platform. A company can have multiple instances of ServiceNow. For example, your company might have a Production instance, a Test instance, and a Development instance. Each will have a different URL. Each instance has its own, fully independent database.

Jeff, did you do videos on the whole ServiceNow Fundamentals On Demand course? I saw somewhere that you mentioned the series consists of 27 parts.

Good Job!! - I work at ServiceNow
Thanks Rick! I'd love to hear more about your position with ServiceNow sometime if you would be willing to chat.
can you use this instance to practice/study for system admin?
Absolutely!! That is one of the best things you can possibly do to prepare for any of the cert exams!
