It is a dark day in Malaysia when an innocent man of such caliber is imprisoned after relentlessly upholding freedom and equality. Today we saw a gross denial of justice, a perversion of the law - a desperate and pathetic attempt to silence the cry for true democracy. But I am proud to know that Anwar Ibrahim is a fellow Malaysian with a dream, and he still stands to inspire us all to continue the strife.

As far as morality and empowerment of ethics, I have to give it to him. Politic is no playground and it can be seen as manipulative as power is the reward. But as a youth of Malaysia, I see what makes Anwar stands out of everyone in Malaysia is his faith in youth. He actually relies on youth because most adults have given up on what so called politics and in the end "same old, same old" but Anwar doesn't. He is a man that inculcate freedom of conscience within the youth and that is a role model to me. He does not curb youths' rights to choose nor speak up, thinking maybe this kids might turn their back on him and pull him down one day.We are not ought to support either side, where election is to choose government for the people, but often the word "for" is being omitted in real world practice.
