In the song the deal the bird represent Mitski soul and when the bird says you’re a cage without me, it’s means that Mitski’s body is like cage without a bird which means Mitski’s body is with no soul and that makes her feelingless so in the song she is talking about how she is wants to be feelingless because she doesn’t want to feel her pain.

She has 6 other albums: "Lush", "Retired from Sad, New Career in Business", "Bury Me at Makeout Creek", "Puberty 2", "Be the Cowboy", and "Laurel Hell". I'd recommend all of them, as each one has special songs with great lyrical moments. She's also an artist who likes her short songs. All her albums are only about 30 minutes, so its really quick and easy to sit down and listen to an entire album.

‘I’m Your Man’ was so lyrically beautiful and profound, I cried like a fucking baby listening to it for the first time lmao.
“I’m sorry I’m the one you love” is such a gut punch. And “You believe me like a god, and I’ll destroy like I am” WOW. "I'm sorry I'm the one you love." My god, the way she can sing and write so beautifully and impactful.
To me, it's like when you're in a relationship with someone so good and wonderful, but you know you can't keep up. At some point it feels like you're taking advantage of their love, because you know that you’re dragging them down. But you still want them and you know it’s selfish and it’s toxic, but you can’t help it.

Buffalo replaces is about old things (the Buffalo) being replaced by newer “better” things (the train) she knows the newer thing is better but cant accept it. She has a hope but doesnt know what shes hopeful for.
