I was a high school junior when this took place. I can tell the "youngsters" listening to this in 2024 that the world was much more primitive in 1969 than it is today. As the years go by I am more and more impressed with this feat...
Exciting times for a young boy from England. I remember my friends and I watching the landing on an old black and white TV. Then looking up at the moon through a window and hoping to see an astronaut.. lol 🌙
If we had really gone to the moon it would be a total cesspool by now. We were in the midst of a deadly war in Vietnam so for kicks we decided to go off world to the moon for kicks, give me a break. We would have destroyed the moon in a decade, had we really got there.
*_"If we had really gone to the moon it would be a total cesspool by now."_* Why? *_"We were in the midst of a deadly war in Vietnam so for kicks we decided to go off world to the moon for kicks, give me a break."_* The Apollo Programme was commissioned and commenced in 1961. The war with Vietnam did not start until 1965. Ultimately, one of the reasons for the premature cancellation of Apollo was that was also out of favour with public opinion and like Apollo and the Nixon administration was able to divert some of the funding to the war effort. Ultimately, America pulled out of Vietnam the following year also due to public and political opposition and cost in addition to being ill equipped to fight a guerilla war. *_"We would have destroyed the moon in a decade, had we really got there."_* There were six moon landings between 1969 and 1972 and twelve men walked on its surface - that's all. Following the cancellation of the programme neither the USA or any nation on the planet was prepared to fund the obscene cost of further crewed missions to the moon.
The first time we went up, we sent animals to see if humans could survive in space. Remember? But for the moon landings we sent 3 guys thousands of miles thru 3 radiation belts, then thru space to the moon,12 times! Then they brought up a car to drive on the moon, golfed on the moon too. Today they cant even send a guy in orbit around the moon let alone land on it. It's been decade after decade of lies about returning to the moon. Itll never happen.
Tell us the evidence you have that we did not get there? Otherwise, you are yet another crackpot with a theory based on nothing but imagination. How would you disprove a moon landing?

The writing throughout this series is first rate.
Even though I know that entire landing (so I thought) very well, I still learned some new things!

This is gripping ...
This happened on my 14th birthday. Every time I hear someone say it was faked I could spit nails.
Now I see why you only have 200 some likes after 3 years
Thought this was about finding the lost TV tapes of the Armstrong first steps on the Moon... Not the decent
The music is way too much. Seriously the heartbeat is just over baring
Since English is not my native language: why did he's daughter use that stopwatch? "She was a ... "Touraler"? I cannot understand it. 😅
“Twirler”
Baton twirling is part of a school marching band performance.
She was timing her routine.
Hotel and Casino?
Prove it?
"You can't so stfu."
On top of it all, Neil was doing
" Barnyard Math" as he put it while flying the lunar module. There was a reason he was picked to be the first man.

You were never born.
