Finally. Real, perfect dragons in action! With all their limbs!
Reminds me of of olden days where a cinematic intro looks nothing like an actual isometric gameplay...
I hate it when I get captured by interdimensional mind flayers, then have the ship i'm on get attacked by dragons and then my mind flayer captures transport us into LITERAL HELL in a desperate attempt to flee the dragons which only exasperates the problem because now the armies of hell are attacking the ship. Woah what a day
ALL OF THAT AT LEVEL 1!
3:44 when the dragon's scream and the violon become one, got chills !
One of the greatest cinematics I've ever seen.
The music in this is bloody amazing
4:08 So that's what a Plumbus does.
It almost here, cant wait to be immersed in this masterpiece.
Never played the previous games but I LOVE Divinity Original Sin 2. Can't wait for this.
Both Baldur's Gate 1 & 2 are on steam and the Switch for fairly cheap, you should check them out
This is better )
@@blackvial Are they their own story or do we have to play the other games to understand it?
@@lolcatjunior Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 are one storyline where the character you build in 1 will carry over to 2. Baldur's Gate 3 seems to be it's own story
BG 1-2 is considered by many 2 of the GOAT RPGs go do yourself a favour and go play them.
"Heya it's me, Imoën"
- Imoën is that you??
Safe to say my mind has been flayed...
So, in all this madness, they warped into Avernus and had enough time to yoink Karlach and implant a tadpole into her? Say what you will about them ghaiks, but their work ethics are top notch.
Wonderful trailer , absolutely stunning work.
You just know there are 2 or 3 really confused Silver Dragons watching nearby, having no idea what to do right there. "They are Reds...But they're helping people...But they are Reds...They're fighting a Mindflayer...So, what do we do?" "...No idea."
I like to imagine the people who only know about the classic high fantasy stuff in DnD being absolutely boggled by what they just saw.
Fascinating.
Somehow, these characters go from being abducted by mindflayers on a Nautiloid, chased by githyanki dragonriders, ending up in Avernus...and somehow getting back to the Material Plane to where all the introductory gameplay has been taking place.
So the question becomes...how the hell did they get out of Hell...?
the intro ends with a whole bunch of wyvern's flying towards the ship very likely it makes one last jub back to faerun before crashing
@dianna k You nailed it. We will probably spend very little time in Avernus. We will be tasked with getting to the helm, twanging the twingy thing in the helm (enabled by the tadpoles in our head) and then bam crash land in Faerun where they have shown all the videos from before.
Technically you can walk out of hell in dnd.
@@poiz921 if you weren't level one. Or if you are my next character, you stay for some drinks and make a few deals before leaving. Hell isn't an uncivilized place like the abyss after all.
@@majorfallacy5926 goddamn abyss with their chaotic shenanigans
So glad they took their time with this one
Barreling through hell on a crashing mind flayer ship while being attacked by dragons... now THAT'S how you start a game! What an amazing hook!
This game delivered on every level. Game of the year and one of the best games of the decade.
Damn that dragon chase scene was badass.
"My hotel is as clean as an elven arse."
Stoked for this one. Loved BG and IWD. Loved Divinity 2 as well.
Divinity 2? Or Divinity original sin 2?
Absolutely the coolest dragons I've ever seen in any movie, game or book. Badass
What is really cool about this, is that you saw how hard the Githyanki chase a blade in BG2. BG 3 shows what happens you kidnap one of them. When you kidnap one of theirs, you have ten red dragons with ten Gith Knights literally tracing you through existence. They know every spot the Illithid tries to hide. They will come for you. Probably its you they sent a lot of red dragons for.
They care a lot about their own and not artifacts.
Not gonna lie, I didn’t even know there was a baldur 1 and 2 but I’m interested now
Someone or some company needs to make a full length movie like this!!!
I agree
The music at 4.39 and on... so BG style! The game rocks already music wise. Wonderful what they are doing!
Do you know the name of the music? I've been looking for hours
It will be a masterpiece as BG 1 and BG2 already are. Simple. Absolutely gorgeous intro
I must say watching this cinematic on an ultrawide monitor is a smashing experience.
Yo give me the Bhaalspawn and the Nameless one fighting together in the blood war and I can cry happy geek tears.
Can we PLEASE, for the love of Balduran, get a Baldur's Gate movie series? Pretty please with a little mind flayer tadpole on top?
This trailer was INCREDIBLE
Don't you just hate it when you get captured by a mind flayer, who puts a larva into your brain, but then it is attacked by dragon-riding gith, only for it to crash into the middle of the eternal war between demons and devils in hell.
Hate it when that happens.
tale as old as time
1:19 "Go for the eyes, Boo, go for the EYES! RAST!" :D
"you must gather your party before venturing forth"
The music score is going to be godlike
Oh yeah, it's all coming together
If the Githyanki are making an appearance, makes me wonder if the Silver Sword of Gith will as well.
or if the Lich Queen will factor into the story (I hope so)
Silver swords are definitely going to come into play if there are this many Gith in the game.
Perpahps they may refer to the Bhaalspawn as a filthy thief XD
@@realmirage I'm doubtful the Bhaalspawn will be involved. They'll all be dead by now, because the last of them died by this point and Bhaal himself returned. That was the condition for his resurrection.
Besides, who said the protagonist of this game is a Bhaalspawn?
Mon dieu la qualité de la cinématique est incroyable ! On croirais voir l'extrait d'un film *.*
