People complaining about shock collars should get into this sport competitively and see 1st hand what it takes b4 being judgemental

Paul McCambridge many dog handlers in the UK that compete in the sport don’t use e collars.

I appreciate your comment, from what I have seen USA handles are VERY responsible when using pressure sir.

I agree with walking a mile in another man's shoes before complaining, but my dog has never had an e-collar or force fetch trained. One more test and he will complete his MH. I know only what my dog has accomplished. I will say as a general statement. of Americans, there is a lack of patience and push the dog before its individual level of progression. Before anyone comments, I am an American.

I'm sure all 100+ dogs that that made the Nationals are Great dogs!
What I don't "get" or appreciate is :
99 percent of all these dogs are trained with electric Shock collars. These same collars are Banned in many countries in Europe.
God bless these poor electric collar dogs.

slyflyby if you know how to use the collars correctly then they are a great tool to use for training and won’t cause any harm to a dog. They can be a bad tool if used incorrectly but anyone who has a dog at the level of the national championship the trainers know how to use them very well.

That dog that dropped the duck on way back in would be out, the dog that dropped at owners feet would be out, poor dog work

Read page 36 subsection 36 of the AKC field trial rule book.
