GraceWorship 02 02 2025 Departing in Peace with God's Light to Share

Welcome to our worship service today. Today we break from our readings after the Epiphany and instead remember an event that happened today in the Church Year (that is, forty days after Jesus’ birth). Jesus’ mother, Mary, had to go to the temple for her rite of purification, and Jesus had to be presented at the temple. When they arrived, they were met by a man named Simeon. God had promised to Simeon that he would not die before he saw the Savior of the world. His words of praise are the words the words that we use after our communion service.
