Bro , I literally just bought a 92 735il black , 30 min after watching this video . I had an 92 glacier blue 735i and regretted selling it immediately . Had to come back to this video . This was all the motivation I needed . Thanks
Great work Taylor, I’ve always wanted to do this. Hearing the stories from the greatest generation is priceless. I bought my e28 from a 78 year old chemical engineer. He owned it for 37 years. The people we get to meet on this journey make it worth taking.
I own a 88 735i. The car thqt got me to love bmws and now i own the actuqll same car that was the same one i rode when i was 14. The same one. I still cant get it over my head. Never thought ill own it in my life
I remember staring at this car on SF Bay Craigslist for probably a month straight thinking about buying it. After seeing this, I’m glad I didn’t- seems like it ended up exactly where it needed to be.
What a great story and I too also love older BMW'S I own a 98 528i it's not an M car but I love it just the same and what I love about older BMW'S is that they were made in a German factory by a German auto worker and traveled by ship from Germany to America yep I love my E39.
Great story and awesome restoration/build on this classic 7 Series. That model was the first BMW I drove back in 1989 when graduating high school. It was my uncle's car. Fell in love with BMW then...and still suffer from that torturous love today. lol. Anyone who owns old BMW's knows what I am talking about...
man this story is awesome, i have an almost similar story with my e34 535i which i bought from the original owners son and was a personal import from Sytner BMW in nottingham back in the 90's, maybe i should get in touch with him and show him the restoration ive done to his 535i too haha
I find it commendable that Alpina still supports these cars after all these years. One part I WISH they still made or offered, is the auxiliary digital cluster that was fitted along the bottom center of the front gauge cluster. Practically impossible to find. Great video! Thank you for sharing this.
How does this channel only have 20K subscribers unbelievable. Please keep pushing and doing what u guys do this channel is great and the production is up there with throttle house and smoking tire and petrelicious or piston head’s whatever channel
I have a 92 E32 and the original owner. It's always been garaged. Original paint, interior - it's a beautiful car, and it drives fantastic. Expensive to own and maintain, no doubt about that. Been trying to find a rear window motor for months - no luck! Any advice on locating parts for these gems would be appreciated.
I have an 88 735i factory manual LSD, it's immaculate, and has been written up a few times. The factory exhaust is on its last leg. I have a DInan chip ( older version I believe ) and know Dinan did sell an exhaust, though tracking one down is near impossible and calls to Dinan was a net zero for me. What route did you go with the exhaust on this car? I'm still in love with my E32.
I just bought a 1990 BMW 735i E32. It is very quiet and not very quick at all being an automatic. Any good ideas on exhaust upgrades or deletes to make it sound better and to possibly get a little more performance out if it. I bought it from an old man to who was also original owner. Car is black on tan and simply gorgeous
my 750 was nothing but a massive headache and got 10 MPG. turns out, V12s are hard to maintain. but i loved every minute of it, when it decided to start. what do you call that, smiles per gallon
I drive a 89 750il the ones that know always spark up a conversation with me I found the car left in a shipping container it had been sitting for 30 years some how some one got it drove it enough to brake it in then parked it I spent a ungodly amount to bring it back to life but it’s worth it because I tell ppl it’s my new old car I love the fact that no one drives the e32 bmws that much so when I drive mine every one looks even non car ppl there just something magical about the way a e32 looks also it’s the best time Machine I enjoy using caset tapes XD in it and hearing stories ppl feel compelled to tell about there time in 80s I hope we never lose the ability to drive gas cars but I’f we do I think I got to drive one of history’s best gasoline powered cars
True. The car gets lots of looks even from people who don’t care about cars. And people who do know are always over 40 complimenting me. Especially in Australia where they are really rare to see. E30 e34 and e38 are just so much more common. I like all the classics but the body of the e32 is so beautiful, I don’t think these cars are more special because of the rarity but just the nature of them. Honestly my grey Metallic on ACS’s just looks really sporty and light on its wheels while also looking luxury. Love the rear design much more in comparison to the e34. The front end is so aggressive I love it
Hi, I really enjoyed your video, I watched it several times. Can you fit a 19 inch HRE rims on the E 32 with out body work or paint work ?? The car is not lowered. Just totally stock. Thanks, any advice will be greatly appreciate it.
Love this car and what you have done with it. The only thing I don't like is the front air dam. It's a bit much and doesn't blend with the car very well. Awesome video.
Absolutely love this video. Beautiful car, awesome story, cool owner. I thought I recognized Taylor - he had/has an awesome E34 540i that Matt Farah took for a drive on a One Take. Taylor if you see this, do you still have the 540?
@@1954hudsonhornet Nice! I can't wait man. I've got a 97 540i/6, in Oxford Green over Tan! I've got a short drive up on my channel, can't wait to publish more. Getting everything sorted on it. They're such beautiful cars, thanks for replying bro, best wishes man!
The video itself is pretty good - narration, montage etc. however, this is a classic 7 Series BMW - a proper limousine that looks and sounds like a cheap drift car now.
I lived in Munich and Southern Germany when this generation of BMW’s ruled the Autobahn, and the seven series was king. Love the story, video, and your car…fantastic. I do have one complaint. I like the mirrors, but in my opinion don’t match the era. But the fake taillights (the extra ones you added) have got to go. A lot of Germans added these extra fake reflectors to their cars…not just BMW, but Audi, Mercedes, and even Opal. The most common was the extra reflectors on the E-class at the time…for whatever reason, people wanted the older look where the reflectors wrapped around. But generally, it cheapened the car because the plastic didn’t match, and even if they found a higher level plastic, it still didn’t look right. Looked cheap. You saw it much less on BMW, but man, you’ve got to remove yours…especially that wrap around piece on your license plate. Your car is a 9.5 out of 10. Clean up that rear end by removing the added reflectors and I’ll forget about the mirrors :-) 😀
@@shotty. I there being some more pricey after market mods that looked better than others…but in general…it didn’t ever look right “to me” - Great looking ride though!
These cars are money pits. My grandpa bought that same exact car brand new back in '88, my mom has it now and she wants me to take it. But it needs some work, it has electrical issues. I'm looking for someone who specializes in these cars. Preferably in the Western US. If anyone has any suggestions, please reply!
Its a money pit if you can't handle basic DIY and you run to the dealer every time there is a light. Those are rock solid and super easy to figure out and maintain. Especially the M30
@@alexmercer8042 I'm mechanically inclined, been fixing my own cars for 22 years. But when it comes to in depth electrical gremlins....that's a big NO for me dawg. I also have lower back problems from a weight lifting incident, so I have to be careful about fixing them these days.

I wouldn't mind if he only had the Alpina wheels, shift knob, Dinan intake & exhaust but he went overboard with the Alpina body kit, decals, steering wheel, M mirrors and a Dinan badge on the trunk the end result makes me cringe at what could've been a more tasteful build

Beautiful build, but it's pretty clear this was done with no budget to adhere to.
You mentioned you took a trip to the factory in Germany. What was website where bought those dinan parts ?
The dinan parts came from over 24 months of hunting. Stuff is out of production by 30 years.
Need more of this car wwwoooooaaahhhhh

What your are doing with the Exhaust and with the airfilter?

What spoiler is on the e32? trying to find a decent lip and can't find one :(

It’s a genuine racing dynamics wing. Sadly there is nothing on the market currently :(
@@1954hudsonhornet that's why i did not find it😅
Where are this wing mirrors from? E36 M3? were they ever an option on e32??
Those were used for the E36 M3 and E34 M5. I suppose the ones from the E34 fit better. They were never an option for the E32.
