Man oh Man. I haven't heard this in years but I remember it like it was yesterday..hip hop is just awesome...this just nice to hear..no one is offended and no cussing..I rock to this 👍🏽
I'm 51 now and I had this on a mix tape back in junior high school. But check this out........I play this for my 3 yr old daughter (almost 4) and it's the funniest/coolest thing to watch her sing along to this and dance to it, in rhythm and on beat:).
I remember this song when I was 18 years old, just left NY and as headed to my first duty assignment at Fort Bragg. This and Funkbox (The Masterdon Committee) were the party songs on V-103 in Fayetteville, NC. Great memories growing up back then. How many songs out today that you can say will stand the test of time 30 years from now, probably only a few will be played. I wish I could find the video..They had a channel called "Music Box" back in the day that played all these songs. Long Live the 80s...
Bruh, I grew up in Fayetteville and graduated in 1983 from Westover. I'm sure you know about The Bomb, Studio 105, Disco in the Park just to name a few. Those were the DAZE!!!
Fellow native New Yorker here. I was living at MCB Camp Lejeune in Jacksonville at that time. This joint, Funkbox, Art of Noise, Hip Hop Be Bop (Don't Stop), and the list goes on and on and on. Used to listen on WQDW 97.7 with the East Coast Rocker - Trevor Forde
I've been trying to find this song for the longest. A lot of my friends didn't know what the hell I was talking about when I asked, you don't remember that song called "Reganomics"? I almost ruptured my spleen from pop locking so hard off of this back in the days. Lol😅😆😅
I have been looking for this song for many years! Last I heard it I was 16 now I'm 45. Thank you so much to the person who uploaded this. Brings back so many memory on how we use to dance all night long in the 80's. The best years o my life!
I haven't heard this song in over 40years. I remember battling this dude on the corner in front of a liquor store in late September 1983-being a freshman. We were battling off this song. Hope he's stll alive. What Joe.
This was a break dance hit in Chicago. My best friend and I were DJing the local parties and buying Album every week. We discovered this one. We never heard it being played on the radio but it became a hit when we played it.
+Sylvia Gibson i dont mean to laugh at this what you put lol. i was a popper locker breaker etcback in the day, i have arthritis aswell but through my skin disease. i can still pop like a headcase lol though yes at 47 it hurts, i know the stress that locking, snapping can put on one, price to pay for a good boogie :)
+Sylvia Gibson Hahaha!!!.. yup with all the poppin and breakn I used to do back in the day that's all i hear now poppin and breakin of my joints.... LOL!!!
I was in the Army in Fulda , Germany about 83-87, remember jamming up in da clubs on the weekends. Wow this great to find this jam and be link to other songs from that era.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥❤️💯✊🎉🍾🍾🔥🍾🤎❤️🖤👍
I remember Christmas 83 and waking up to a brand new box set of the electros on vinyl and an English bull terrier puppy and I was the happiest kid in the UK.. My friend had got a big arse ghetto blaster for Christmas and we recorded the albums on to tape cassette and went out into the town centre where we used to dance and meet up with the other bboys and practice our latest moves.. Fantastic times and we experienced the real deal hip hop culture where everyone could take part no matter what colour or whatever.. Before it became commercial and about gold girls drugs and gangsta Back when hip hop had something to say..
Used to have this on one of my favorite mix tapes back in the day. I lost it long ago so I literally haven't heard this since about 1986/87. I played them so much they are still stuck in my head:) Thanks for uploading.
Over here in the UK i remember popping to this 40 years ago , pretty sure this was on one of the Electro albums , that breakdown at 4.21 ....just Wow ! take me back to those Halcyon days .

Wow i to have been longing to hear this song..I thought it was long lost but here it is!!!! WOW this brings back the good ole days!!! Harry berry from SF and the other struters out there!!!! Thanks for downloading.
Eric Chamberlain That quality is so bad that I don't have a clue. You have to remember that a lot of records on wax during that era were what equates to B-sides that NEVER hit the airwaves and were only played by DJ's at parties. I have a ton of music like that. Complete unknowns if I were to tell you their name, like the Doctors of Scratch. If you Google them, you will only find videos and such of detailing products. They only put out one song and it was good for mixing with other stuff but that's about it.
not many songs on earth sound electric like this one. First time i've got this on a tape dubed in 1985. Now i 've got the vinyl record :) The sound of this song is so incredible dynamic and strong electric.
OMGEEEEE I've been looking for this for YEARS!!! Was spelling it wrong!!! My grown man crush used to blast this from his car n I fell in love with him AND the song! Lmao! I was 13, I think he was like 22, so he definitely didn't know. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
when this came out for us DoDDS kids living in Germany only a few kids had this on tape; very hard to find the whole edition as those few had like 3-4 minutes and it cut off suddenly. Brings back alot of memories though.

My first time herein this was at the sports arena at an Uncle jams Army dance in the summer of 83. Egyptian lover was on the turn Tables. And then I was watching a break in movie an bugauglu shrimp was break their son to this
I don't miss nothing about the 80's those were hard ass times people loss a lot in 80's that's what this song says, hard ass times. Reagan got his buddies richer and the poor got even poorer
and later we had to go through Bush with the trickle down theory that was a slow if any trickle while others in the know were getting over like fat rats.
Liverpool lad here living in Carlisle. Back in the day the electros were the fucking business! One of my mates was older and bought all the tunes for us to try and breakdance to. I love the lot of em. Electro is aural sex!
Forgot to mention that I was referring to the Southern CA area, especially the suburbs. People who knew nothing about funk or the dances associated with it were taken by surprise. It was unlike today because there were clear divisions between the limited popular styles of music in the early 80s. The status quo wouldn't be caught listening or entertaining funk or anything associated with it. This was all underground but that's what created the excitement and mystery!
Always loved this tune since 1983
I remember this jam at the middle of my junior year of high school back in the fall of 1983 and haven't forgotten it since. A true classic jam!!
Facts!!
Some are still listening to this song more than 30 years later, but EVERYONE is still living with it more than 30 years later.

80s music is way more futuristic than nowadays radio chart music! Grew up with break dance music, fantastic!
