Most folks won't understand the reMarkable 2 because of the purpose in which it was built for, no distraction writing. They feel you can do the same thing on an iPad or Galaxy Tab which is true however, no distractions from apps and messaging! Pure focus and writing is the objective here and I love it.
Mike dee , i have no words about your dedication. Last like 1-2 mounth ago i saw some of your videos and they had so low views i thought that you will quit UA-cam. But man ow man like after that i just saw upload after upload and man I was so shocked like what is this man is made of he just dropped from millions of views to like 1-2 k no way he going to stay in the path . But man you not quit and i am amazed. You have a mind set like rommans of Hannibal Barca's time . They lost several battels lost over 300k man but still dont surrender. They commit they will fight until every man of rome will be dead. The story is so inspiring you can check that out (first Punic war and second Punic war). Wish you best man true inspiration real mans blood on you.
When it comes to paper tablets, I get it but I will not get it. I understand why people would like a distraction-free productivity device but it is so damn expensive that you might as well get a tablet like an iPad which can do way more. It is easy to set focus modes or simply not download distracting apps on your ordinary tablet and considering the price of paper tablets like the remarkable, I see no point in getting one. Personally, I find my iPad really good for notetaking and I can also use it to type stuff up in a serious word processor and easily share notes. With focus modes configured on something like an iPad, I can be just as productive on it.
It’s because most people who buy the remarkable already have an iPad. We are trying to get away from the distractions it gives, the writing experience is way better than anything an iPad and paper like screen protector can provide, its an investment just like the iPad (that people also say is overpriced, and its a “notebook” replacement not an iPad replacement. It’s expensive but so was the iPads including the forthcoming ones in 2024 but people still invest in them. You can really use the remarkable to organize your life as well (I have a fitness planner, a budget planner, journals, epubs, work notes, 2024 planner) and best of all I’m saving my eyes from things like blue light of the iPad and my laptop and saving trees. The rM2 allows your os pend time with just your thoughts the same as a notebook. The rM solved and helps a lot of individuals with ADHD with the ability to focus. Of course it will not fit for everyone, doesn’t fits everyone’s use case, financial investment or needs. I’ve had mine since 2020 during pre-order for the rM2 and it’s been used for college, work and personal use and still going strong in 2024. If you’re re interested try eBay or Mercari for a pre-loved (second-hand one). Talking about declutter the paper out your house, whew another benefit. LOVE THE rM2 and the e-ink industry even though it’s got a ways to go. Thanks Mike for the video!
@@telockett9850 Thanks for providing an opposing perspective to my subjectivity. I am sure that the tablet has its own unique features that justifies its price for some. I am just skeptical that you need this tablet to be productive. Happy to know there are people who enjoyed the Remarkable tablet and made good use of it. Functionality wise, everyone can use what they have to plan their year, you don't need the best tools, you just need to have the dedication!
