The rear travel is maxed out from factory at 150mm. For the front, we wouldn't recommend going any more than 10mm from the stock 160mm. With how slack the head angle is, I really never felt the need for more travel
I’ve got a alpine trail 7 2022 and I bumped the yari up to 170mm. Added a little more beginning stroke to the shock. Wouldn’t go any higher than 10mm personally
@@bikesonline awesome. So it’s the same but with an updated motor? Cool. Wonder if the price has changed? Also is it a different colour? Looks slightly more brown.
@@RidesWithJake sweet! Haven’t had any problems? At 5’11 I’m half way Between medium and large. Probably go medium as that’s still longer reach than my trek remedy.
@@brokenlegz it’s been awesome, apart from the chain ring which came loose after 1 ride, easy fix but disastrous if I didn’t notice it. A friend who got a Trek Rail Large tested it and the reach felt the same (mine’s size small) and his Trek’s reach felt the same for me too.
I went large on the e1 at 5'10. Deffiently comfy and feels good size and can plow. It's sometimes hard to weight the front end though as it's so slack. I'd go med if you want more playful and more control over the bike.
Have never ridden one of these so excuse this possibly quite obvious question. Are bikes like these 'pedal assist' rather than purely electric powered, controlled by a throttle etc? I'm struggling to find anyone that explains the difference in the ebike settings.
Not well spec'd at all , small battery , X Fusion suspension is budget components and EP6 again low end motor. Should check out Cannondale Moterra Neo 3 for the same money which is rockin Bosch Performance Line CX motor with 750Wh battery , RockShox Yari RC, 150mm up front and RockShox Deluxe Select DebonAir on the rear.
Great review. I have been eyeing that one.
Thanks Mike! Stay tuned on the Ebike front! Some cool stuff coming
Looks so good. A little misleading with the maxxis on it though.
Unfortunately our pre production bike came with the Maxxis before we knew about any spec changes.
Why maxxis is not a good choice?
Looks good!
Any word on when it's coming to America?
Unfortunately we don't have any coming to the US but stay tuned for some cool stuff coming soon :)
@@bikesonline C'mon, my D7 needs a friend.
I just purchased 1 from Jenson USA yesterday on a regular price..will get it on the 21st!
Beautiful bike.
Insane bike for the price!! Happy shredding 💨 ⚡️
It really is!
I ordered it!
Congrats!!
I didn’t catch the price. What is it in CAD
For current pricing, check BikesOnline.com!
Is the the travel frame specific or can you run a 170-180 front ?

Wonder what the 2023 e2 will be like or should I get an 2022 e2 on sale now?
Can check out the full details here :) www.pinkbike.com/news/marins-refreshed-alpine-trail-e-come-with-cushcore-as-standard.html

I bought the 2022 at such an unbelievable price! The 2023 has barely changed, it’s super fun! Heavy at first, but you’ll quickly get used to it.

Love that color
What size do you think for a 5’11” rider? Im stuck between picking a med or large
I would lean more toward the large but a medium with a 50mm stem would be ideal if you want something a bit more playful.
Also depends on your wingspan but these are a super long and front heavy bike so if you like to manual and pop ide go for the med.

@@domanater480 Thanks
Is the motor worth it or should we go for the ep8?
The EP6 has identical performance to the EP8. The EP6 just comes in a heavier case and doesn't have as fancy of a display unit!
@bikesonline how about the after sales service?
Have never ridden one of these so excuse this possibly quite obvious question. Are bikes like these 'pedal assist' rather than purely electric powered, controlled by a throttle etc? I'm struggling to find anyone that explains the difference in the ebike settings.
Correct they are pedal assist, so no throttle. Check out this vid :) ua-cam.com/video/9fT8wJyrwIM/v-deo.html
How's it any different to the 2022 E2?
Same frame. The E2 has higher end spec and an EP8 motor, and 630wh battery
Any chance you might know the kilo/mileage to a full charge?
Lets say, echo mode
It varies depending on all kinds of factors.
can you put a bigger battery in this bike ?
Yes, you can upgrade to the 630wh battery, it would just need to be purchase separately :) The model is the Shimano BT-EN806
@@bikesonline awesome! Thank you so much
@@bikesonline that’s brilliant ! Thank you
Whats the top speed on this bike?
E-assist will cut off at 20mph in the US.
even more affordable
Indeed!

The Cannondale is a great bike but I think the price is a fair bit off. In Australia the Marin retails for $4000 less than the Cannondale
the neo 3 is not the same price...you're thinking of the neo 5...according to cannondales website
@@bikesonline interesting there is such a price difference over there , not the case here
Cannondale bikes are horrible
