@@yizane8342 I'm kinda competetive in games and I play a lot beside I'm already 35, and while in games like Valorant where I reached Immortal solo I know its possible for me to reach high skill cap, in games like OSU where pure reflex and speed matters I'm not able to compete. I know that current generetion was told they can do anything and they can be best in everything but i was raised when we was learn to be realists and know our limits.
@@JanusM Speaking from 1800+ hrs of experience (and someone in their mid-twenties), osu is definitely not pure reflex and speed; it's mainly about building technique, muscle memory, and pattern recognition, which naturally comes when you sink more playtime into the game, just like you did for valorant. If you're capable of reaching immortal in val as a 35 y/o, you're definitely capable of climbing the ranks in osu. Don't give up so easily!

While in games like CS-GO and Valorant i can use micro and macro strategy and predict some things based on typical behaviour what would help me secure rounds and games, in OSU even when I'm at my peak daily performance I simply cant catch up to its speed at 3-4 star maps, and this is where my age comes to play, in last 10 years it started to slow me down in terms of reflex.
@Janus M You're not slow because of age. Osu really isn't that deep like athletics. You're slow because you lack the thousands of hours of experience these "fast" players have. Our brains always adapt so with sufficient training one can build up speed but first the patterns need to be understood
the funny part is around 1:36 in the map, when all of the notes turn into doubles, meaning that despite them looking like regular notes, you have to press down both keys at once for each note
