Klopp is the pipe dream, but I've warmed to the idea of Eddie Howe. He is a manager who has demonstrated an ability to improve players and rotate them while keeping the peace, which is something Gareth couldn't do. He has the media friendly vibe that Gareth has as well, but also the skills of a managers needed to win stuff. I think at some point Rob Edwards and Kieran McKenna would be good England managers, but it's too soon for both (and they both just signed new club contracts).
You are all in for a big surprise. You are all going to realise that Southgate performed a miracle.

He didn’t have to play a France in a group stage, a Portugal team with figo and other players, or an Argentina with a golden generation. Stop talking like you only watched football these past 8 years. If you wanna bring up the Iceland game I can tell you we had our worst squad we’ve had ever and one of the most dinosaur managers that no one wanted in Roy, a guy who took a Liverpool team into relegation. Anyone could’ve taken over after that, and let’s not forget he also lost to Iceland in a friendly and nearly lost to Slovakia, but thanks to the world class players we have, he didn’t. If he’d have played any decent team earlier on he’d have been knocked out.

Has Howe set the world alight at Newcastle? No. The criteria should be that they have actually won major trophies! Is that too hard for the FA to fathom? Then again, Prince William is President, so we will probably end up with Gareth Southgate 2.0 (Howe, Carsley, Potter, Lampard). I doubt Klopp would take it, but it has been reported that Tuchel is interested. If that is the case, then I would go for him. He has won 10 major trophies as a manager and knows the English game. It's a no-brainer for me.

He's actually won something internationally with the England U21's so he wouldn't be a bad shout. He would be a hard sell to the general public and if he fails to hit the ground running it could backfire massively.

He'd do amazingly well with almost every player, ol' PR Jude seems to have gotten a bit of an ego from his time at Madrid so that might be the one challenge but otherwise he's a good tactician, plays an attractive brand of attacking football and is experienced at working with youngsters.
Klopp's the best but he wouldn't take it, Poch would also never take the England job. Eddie Howe is a good shout but idk if he meant he couldn't say no to England WHILE he's managing a PL club lol. Tommy T would also probably not take the job. Potter is the most suitable of the available managers.

Kane shouldn't be dropping back to defend constantly when he has no pace at all to get back up into the box. It would at least be more entertaining to watch the team play more attack-focused football

Ralf Rangnick - Forget the Man United stint, has done an amazing job with Austria, has them playing fantastic attacking football.
Roberto Mancini -A born winner, knows how to win international tournaments
Mancini is being paid 5 times more than Englands salary in Saudi Arabia. Plus a lot of England players will remember him and the trauma from 2021.

Why would Ancelotti want to leave the pinnacle of football, with a team that could have 6 players who are the best players in the world in their position in the middle of a Mediterranean country that constantly has sun to coach an underachieving, frankly overrated international team that comes with thr most amount of scrutiny that has ever existed ?

He was already closely linked with the Brazil national team job but decided to stay on in Madrid, so international football clearly interests him. Florentino is very likely working on bringing in Alonso at the end of next season to replace him, so it could be the time.
He knows how to mould and blend a team of superstars and can clearly get the best out of Bellingham. The only issue then is meanwhile who is the interim?!
It may be an unpopular opinion but I honestly think that Mauricio Pochettino could be a good fit for England... he finally had Chelsea looking unstoppable towards the end of the season before being unfairly sacked

It was clear watching the England Spain game that a competent manager would have beaten Spain.
Spain controlled the midfield and had a lot of chances to score but they lacked firepower. Their main striker morata is a dud and for all there attacking talent they don't have many goal scorers in their team.
England on the other hand had so many goal scorers in th team if they had got peppered the Spanish goal they would have scored. The Croatian show that Spain had a very leaky defence.
people need to get this klopp idea out of their head cus he just won’t do it, atleast not before he does it for Germany. Potter is my favourite cus the football he played at chelsea and brighton was good he just didn’t have any good finishers in either team, compare that to england who have kane, saka and jude in that front 4 then another we have class finishers. Our problem has been creating chances not finishing. Howe is the only other one i can think of right now but i don’t see him leaving newcastle yet, maybe we could get an interim manager for now cus it’s not like we have a tournament any time soon, by christmas i think we’ll know if howe has a future at newcastle, he’ll be doing well and sign an extension or he’ll be sacked cus their owners are ambitious

All this hype for Klopp is so naïve and typically English. Just because a manager has recently become available despite him leaving because he wanted to step away from management does not mean that you can just throw the job on them. It's all about what *we* want but never about what they likely want, no wonder we lose and are hated by everyone.

They can’t go all out for Klopp or history will repeat itself! The FA went all out for Big Phil Scolari and then when he turned it down McClaren was dubbed ‘’Second Choice Steve’’ The same will happen when Klopp turns it down and potter etc are then classed as second choice. Now the FA should never of approached Scolari on the eve of the 2006 World Cup granted but the media and UA-camrs will still have a field day with it and it gets the new era off to a bad start

If England are really aiming for the stars go for KLOPP. We all know Klopp himself might be looking for coaching germany. But believe me which team will be more pressure cooker for Klopp to coach, germany or england ? Why not try Klopp? He has the respect of the players & he definitely have that machine like system which is relentless & good to watch. I know most of the english will love Klopp as their english coach, it's just that they feel he might say no. Come on just try him, he might say yes. I still feel his mind is in Liverpool, it's just that he felt tired. But coaching a country is much more relaxing by Klopp's standards . Why not try him? I think Klopp is no realistic candidate, although it would feel unreal if England could get him. I don't why so many people want to go for Howe?! In my opinion this country doesn't produce good managers, who are able to get the best out of this highly rated England squad. They don't need a manager for building a new generation right now...they need someone, who gets them over the line. Someone who knows to get those players into their best positions and get the best out of the squad. Klopp or Guordiola would be unreal, so bring on Tuchel, he knows how to win silverware!
