    Ooof, that's a heckuva mod matrix, but the result is really nice. Thanks for lesson! As a very tiny addition, I added aftertouch onto Macro 1 and 2, to get that kind of "exertion" effect that wind players have on long notes.

    Wow, I found a gold channel, just to think it's one video of many more sound designs, since I watched Synthhacker I was looking for a vital version of his videos and I'm glad I found that channel
    You even explain why you're doing certain things and not just do a b c to achieve a flute, that's the thing I find helpful the most.
    Please continue doing those videos they're super helpful!
    And here's a fun challenge, try synthesizing a piano from scratch, so far I've never heard a good synthesized piano that doesn't use samples but only basic waves
    So I'm curious to see how you would do it :)

    This is absolutely amazing. The world of synths is quite difficult to understand for me, I watched a lot of tutorials but I really liked how you started building it from a reference. And the explanation of a Comb-Filter was kinda eye-opening for me! I checked out your channel and found you re-build synth versions from more references, which will be super damn helpful for me! Thanks a lot for these tutorials, definitely subbing!

    Oops! There's some kind of mixup on the Matrix Routings related to Macro 1. In the video at 7:15 you can see that Macro 1 is mapped to the Mod 2 and Mod 3 amounts, as listed in the video description, and Mods 2 and 3 are for LFO1's control of the Sample and OSC1 levels, respectively. This is also reflected over in the "tab" for LFO1 (the first 2 circles representing mappings from LFO1 have the little bright green circles in them). By 7:40 in the video, though, Macro 1 is no longer mapped to LFO1. It's still mapped twice to something, but not to the Mod 2 and Mod 3 amounts.

    • @jazensounds453
      @jazensounds453  4 роки тому +5

      They are still mapped, look at the outer green circles moving around on sample and osc 1 to the speed of LFO1 when a note is played (you can also just listen for vibrato). I'm not sure if it is a visual bug or if the little green circles only show in the matrix tab, but they are definitely still mapped. In the initial preview they aren't showing as well, but you can audibly hear the vibrato effect.

    do you think you can make other flutes/other flutes can be made? what would be the parameters to change to try going after the nuances of other flutes?
    i barely understand subtractive synthesis, so other than follow along and destroy the sound myself, i have no idea how to approach changing nuances only

    extra tips:
    Make sure for number entry you set vital for semitone: Advanced -> Display->Semitones
    Playing with the Filter fx type can add distortion/fuzz-like effects a.k.a rock!
    EWI (electronic wind instrument) can be applied to most!: Hard/slower Tonguing = shorter release {DAHDSR ENV1}. Faster/lighter Tonguing longer release. * Tested on Akia EWI USB.

    Thanks, I also tried the actual present and it sounds great!
    Quick question: I tried using it with multiple voices, but I noticed some weird issues with the attack sustain of the high note when releasing a low note after for example having pressed a first and a third simultaneously. Is there anythin that would in principle prevent this preset to work for chords / harmonic melodies?
    I guess it is probably a problem with the comb filter which can really only be tuned with one note at a time?
