I wouldn’t say Joe evil. I’m just saying I would say he’s hard-core rationalist who is just trying to have an edge against someone with more power and resources.
He’s not wrong homelander alone is a problem homelander + his son who has potential to be just as if not more powerful than him in time would be an apocalypse
Butcher was right not to allow Soldier Boy to take out Homelander. If that had happened Vought would have just replaced Homelander with Soldier Boy and nothing changes. Soldier Boy was about to kill a child in cold blood, he lost his humanity a long time ago and he had to be put to sleep again. Vought is the main villain, and it isn't over until Vought falls. Ryan is destined to defeat Homelander, and Vought will fall with him. That's the way it fated to go. @@tylermcclain5332
I think they both have a point. Butchers right he’s not a weapon he’s just a boy but Joes right the longer he’s with homelander the more he’s influenced and the more he has a chance of being homelander 2.
But he is seeing Ryan as a weapon, that mentality is what created Homelander in the first place. If they treat him like a disposable tool they're just going to create another monster. Butcher understands that he's a scared kid who is terrified of his powers. It should never be the responsibility of a child to clean up the mess adults made. Ever.
Joe Kessler is basically The Boys' Cecil. I don't want to hear any spoilers about Joe Kessler, I just want to express an opinion here. This scene was difficult to find, you should write the title for this video as "Joe Kessler is angry at Billy Butcher for not giving Ryan the drugged cookies".
I heard that theory. Like it is REALLY sus when he is the only one seen talking to Billy when he’s alone and when in episode 1 Billy is pouring whiskey into coffee but Kessler isn’t the one making it
@@tasibsharar7357it’s not shown that Joe handed him the drugs. Billy might not know that Joe is a hallucination and believe Joe got him the drugs, despite Billy getting it himself
Understand Joe position. Butcher's new plan of going slow and steady with Ryan through talk is not realistic anymore. They are too low for time for long term payoffs. The super apocalypse is upon them and things gotta get moving FAST and HARD in such a desperate situation.
Joe’s not evil, he has points, but he thinks in absolutes. Like Batman in BVS, he’s thinking if there’s even a 1% chance Ryan can become evil, the only option is the extreme option. Billy may be sentimental, but his views to save Ryan are more ethical and human.
What he doesn’t get is that training him would just get them another Homelander. Humanity is the only fix for a supe
Nah that virus is
Umm no it wouldn't, there's a difference between training and torture like Homelander went through.
A older Ryan with combat training from Butcher would be insanely OP.
Ryan would be more powerful than homelander, proper training he would kill him as an adult.
@@mitchjames9350he doesn't want to! This is Star Wars all over again, Luke won't kill Vader, nor he should

He's the Cecil of The Boys
Season1 and 2 Billy would of immediately used Ryan to kill Homelander like he used that baby. But Billy has had some epic character development
*S1 Billy?
Billy in season 1 wa sfuckong diabolical. Just jk that baby would not remember a dman moment of it so he’s probably good

Season 1 Billy: Now keep your nose clean or I'll come back and stomp you.
Season 4 Billy: For christ's sake joe, he's twleve years old!

He's right from their perspective ryan is the only one who might be kill homelander.

Agree. Joe Kessler is basically The Boys' Cecil.
I was about to say he’s The Boys Nick Fury though I feel Mallory is better suited for that role

That's still hoping that a child with powers can beat an ADULT with powers.
By Billy's method, in no time, the world gonna have 2 Homelanders.

He's not!
Joe isn’t evil. He’s just stating the obvious truth.
This is literally a nuanced situation, and there have been times that Butcher would have literally sided with Joe on this
