GSB best surf rods out there I’ll never own anything else again for surfcasting
The hell you put kastking braid on that reel. You should be using MaxQuatro braid. It's an insult to the reel for putting on cheap braid
I get where you’re coming from but I wanted to try it and it actually works well. I just caught a 33” fish with it the other day.
@@LesFishingMoreCatching I was just giving you a hard time. I've used kastking before and it broke, wind knot with me before so I just use the good stuff now with no worries
aznvi3tboy209 I normally use power pro. I used braid since spider wire in 99. The new PowerPro V2 I didn’t like that much. It was really a stiff line. I like the Super Slick original but I think they are going to stop making it.
@@LesFishingMoreCatching I usually go with the Diawa 8x Jbraid. It's a bit thinner in dia so I get a bit more line on.
Man you can’t go wrong with original power pro been using for years not one problem.
I see you driving through Huntington village. What spot are you night fishing?
Cool. I live there that’s why.
Great job handling the fish to be released.
What is the name of the bag used at 6:40? Trying to find a good easy to use fast switching lure bag, can’t find any.
It’s the Shimano Bluewave Surfbag Small. I updated the description and added a link to the product.
Nice. What size jig head were you using with the swim shad? I think his only come in 3/4, 1 and 1.5 Oz. Even 3/4 seems a little heavy for that spot but what to I know?
3/4oz. The Fishaholic Finback shad seems to like a faster retrieve to make that tail move and wobble.
Les Wang Fishing Awesome. Thanks!
@@LesFishingMoreCatching have you fished the 1.5, its definitely fishes very heavy and looks like it might not fish as well as the smaller ones, but i just wanted to have one for the surf
I have one but yea it’s way to heavy for anywhere I fish. It would be good for kayak or boat though probably. Also to the original poster I think the jig head also comes in 1/2oz.
Now that's a good fishing video...were you fishing the VR50 the whole time?
Yes I was.
If you load more line on the reel it will cast further! But good cideo nice early fish
I know I had to take some off lately cause of a knot from popping. I have kast king mega 8 coming Monday. Thanks for watching.
Was that north shore or south shore?
What gloves are those?
Buff gloves
I own the VR150 and the Anti-reverse is so bad!!!
Saludos eselente pesca
