The way they use the blue eyes to show the PTSD that scar has is masterful. He is definitely doing some messed up stuff and is clearly not in the right, But waking up and seeing the blue eyes of the people that killed your entire family, not to mention seeing your own dead brother's arm attached to your body is enough to send anyone into a murderous rage.
Temporary insanity. Scar clearly is in shock and isn't of sound mind. The whole situation is tragic. Scars actions aren't right, but they are understandable. SPOILER........... You gotta respect scar a bit for never using it as an excuse even though temporary insanity *is* a legitimate court defense

Like I know he was in the wrong, the Rockbells didn't do anything to deserve that. I'm just saying that Scar is not a one note villain. They gave him a very understandable motivation. He's a good villain because we can feel his pain. Obviously he's still the villain in this scenario, but you'd be hard pressed to find someone who could think clearly when put in his position.

Won't lie.. if you do blame Scar for anything after what you saw of his state and how he was after the "war" on his people.. just think about it a bit. This is a man with extreme PTSD and mental distress who lost everything, not just somethings, everything.. including a place to call home. So no, I wouldn't blame him for killing people and holding those responsible for what happened to his homeland and family.. in fact I'd out right say Scar is doing more of the right thing than a lot of state alchemists that he had already killed.. considering that they would never have been brought to any sort of justice otherwise. Should he be the bigger person and not kill them and seek other forms of justice? Sure.. would any single person alive who had been through what he had in this show be able to seek a peaceful resolution in real life? Absolutely not.

Idk, reactors never seem to feel this way. But I was all on board team Scar from the start. The entire "civil war" was basically a stand-in for the holocaust. Thats why theres such a focus put on the blue eyes and yellow hair, and also why Bradleys title is Fuhrer and not King or president. Essentially, what I'm saying is that Scar is the equivalent to a Jewish man hunting Nazi officers. Then, when he realizes he killed two innocents, he accepts the possibility of being killed by their daughter without attempting to justify what he did to her. Scars a top bloke in my books.
Yea this show is gonna hit you with a lot of cliffhangers from now on pretty much. Stick to a schedule if time is an issue, don't get too tempted or you might binge the whole thing lol, you have reached the part it really doesn't slow down much except for one bit soon where you get a little recap and a bit more setup and time to chill before the massive ride of the conclusion. Basically the point the show took a break when it was airing, then it comes back strong and then man what an end.
