Having such a horrible and long-lasting pain end all of the sudden must have been overwhelming. I remember something similar happening to me once my medication kicked in after 6 weeks and I felt relief from my anxiety disorder. It's a very emotional experience to be free of something that was just an agonizing part of everyday life.

@@WobbaFett9001 I have a younger brother that has been suffering from a mental health issue since he was in middle school (in his mid 30s now). We've been able to mitigate it and make it somewhat better, but he is still suffering, and a physical feeling of overwhelming anxiety is what triggers horrible depressive episodes that can last days; often resulting in intrusive thoughts and thoughts of suicide. He often complains that he's tired of the pain because it's been going on for so long. I read your comment and couldn't help but to hope you may have a new avenue for my brother to explore. What worked for me was Lexapro, but I know everyone is different so that may not work for your brother. I would try different ones until one works. I know that's very annoying but sometimes it's the only thing you can do. Also, I would advise your brother not to drink. A couple drinks is alright but drinking too often will make his anxiety wayyyyyyyy worse
